Where is the Foxnews video feed????

What happened to the Foxnews video feed of the Foxnews Channel? I used to have it, but it's been awhile since I've used it and it doesn't work now. I saw someone on here post the following link recently, but I couldn't get it to work either...it just says the page cannot be found: http://www.foxnews.com/newsnow/video/fnchi.rmm I'd prefer the Real Player feed. I have problems with Windows Media Player loosing connectivity here at work. Please help!...post the new link for the Real Player feed!

They dont supply it any longer. Ads rights and all. There is Sky News though....I would view them if you want good quality feed. Here

fox nixed that deal 6-9?? months ago. it something to do with
people not getting paid for all of the 'homes' that the stream was sent to.
i have emailed them several times asking if they will have a stream
for a monthly fee in the future. they have never replied.
you might drop them a note, maybe if enough letters are collected
they will change their mind.

There is none on the web. Contractural restrictions apparently. Once in a while, a feed is available from 'Sky News' HERE, but that is not alive now, and I don't know what, if any, is scheduled.

Sounds like free advertising to me... Was it Fox that wanted the money of the advertisers?

That makes no sense....Fox puts free advertising into homes and they want fox to pay them for it? What the hell kind of marketing is that? I would love to get a network like fox to push my product for free. Maybe im just ignorant of the business

It might have been that the actors that performed in the ads wanted additional royalties. That's what happed to Jim Quinn in Pittsburgh. They solved the problem by cutting out the ads on the live radio feed.

Everything is changing from day to day. I use to like to listen to the ballgames and other programs.

It seems every day there are new changes to the 'Real Player.'

It's money now, nothing more! I stay away from anything that has to do with sound or video.

Maybe somebody may be able to enlighten me?

yea..its all money money money. It cost next to nothing to stream the broadcast...just the legal issues i guess.

If I remember correctly, at first most every radio and TV streamed online was stopped until some kind of deal could be reached. Some stations no longer stream at all now, although I'm hard-pressed to understand the logic in not wanting your product advertised for free. Maybe it involved the programs that were airing and the producers didn't want their show carried for free into any home....NOW THAT MAKES A LOT OF SINCE, DOESN'T IT? Anyway I look at this I just don't get it unless Time-Warner was involved and wanted people to pay more like with cable. But, h*ll they get your $$$ as an ISP...so who knows. The logic that exists in the business world today is often not understandable.

If anyone remembers the story to this please post it.

you're right. i had forgotten the specifics, but it was the ad actors
who thru a wrench into the whole works. too bad.
