PUBLIC RELATIONS DEBACLE AFTER SEN. HILLARY JEERED AND BOOED BY HEROES

Senator Hillary Clinton's inner circle is furious at MIRAMAX king Harvey Weinstein after the former first lady suffered through a public relations nightmare during Saturday's AMERICA: A TRIBUTE TO HEROES concert in New York City.

Hillary Clinton was jeered and booed by thousands gathered at Madison Square Garden as she took to the stage -- unannounced -- to introduce a movie clip.

VH1 cameras captured firemen and police heroes wildly booing Clinton, who attempted to raise her voice above the shouting crowd.

"Get off the stage! We don't want you here!" yelled one New York City police officer just feet from the senator.

Anti-Clinton slurs spread and intensified throughout the Garden, with many standing near the stage lobbing profanities.

Event-planner and close Clinton friend Harvey Weinstein was visibly shaken as he heard the crowd erupt with boos and jeers, according to an eyewitness.

The junior senator from New York ending up giving the shortest presentation of the evening, clocking in at under 20 seconds.

"How could we not know this would be the wrong forum for Hillary?!" shouted one confidante. "These are cops and firemen who listen to right-wing talkradio. They still think she killed Vince Foster, for Christ sake!"

Other New York politicians received warmer welcomes during the 5-hour concert which featured Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Elton John and others.

Former President Bill Clinton, who took the stage minutes after his wife, worked over scattered boos with talk of the rescuers' heroism.

Following the Clintons, James Taylor soothed the heroes with an acoustic FIRE AND RAIN.

The concert raised millions of dollars for September 11 relief efforts.

My husband too is a member of a union because of his job only. He's also conservative. I have one hillarious story out of the last election and unions.

My husband is a nuclear operator. As we all know, Al Gore is 100% against nuclear power, Gore has gone as far as stating he'd like to see all nuclear power plants shut down. As we also know, unions love to push the democrat line to their members. This past election year, the Union sent a rep down to my husband's plant to beat the democratic drum. The guy lasted 5 minutes tops before union members started laughing at him, questioning why they would vote for a man who's stated goal is to close the very places they work at. My husband said he walked out after less then a minute.

I wish more Union members would follow their conscience and vote against the democratic party.

I was really upset with New-Yorkers for electing her, but as my mother used to say 'Every black cloud has a silver lining'.

New Yorkers have redeemed themselves.

I'm a union member (have to be, telecommunications is heavily unionized--even for someone in sales like me). Where I work, most of us are conservatives. (The more government interference in our field, the fewer the opportunities for industry-wide growth). The union is chiefly interested in adding staff (whether more people are needed or not). This increases their membership and of course means more dues for the union.

I was a union member for 16 years and was subjected to the same propaganda from the International Union. The upshot was that most of the people in my local were and still are very conservative.

Unfortunately, this is an agency shop where you have to join the union when you get hired.

Over a year ago, my husband wrote a "Letter to the Editor" of our local newspaper.

Just the other day, I posted the letter on FreeRepublic...because of the subject matter of the letter. A year ago, my husband realized that our military was vulnerable to terrorism because of the Clinton Administration. Did the Clinton administration also know?

Same old Democrat group mentality. They are Cops and Firemen, therefore, they must be right wing. Do they think of anyone as an individual, or only as part of some racial, professional, or social identity? Of course, I already know the answer to that...
