I always thought that it would have been awsome at a Bush 2000 campaign rally if they would have played "Dont't stop(thinking about tommorow)" and screeched it to a halt, and then opened up "Won't get fooled again"!

And I saw the Who in 1976 at Winterland, SF, from the 1st balcony row, stage right, about 150 feet off the stage. Will never ever EVER forget that night.
I hope everybody will forgive us for being a little excited there. That was almost as good as sex. LOL!

Boy am I glad I saw this thread! I forgot that this concert was on, and I forgot that we have VH1 on satellite!! The Who!!! Fantastic!! I am sorry I missed the first part!

The Who didn't sing the last line! "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."
Could it be? Bush is NOT the same as clinton?
Wouldn't it be great if all these aging rockers became conservative in their old age and brought the young people along with them? My children LOVE all the rockers that I liked, but I hated Perry Como!
To: jonathonandjennifer
you are right - they purposely did NOT sing "new boss - old boss line!!!!

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but isn't that a picture of freeper BCM they keep holding up?
To: mystery-ak
Did I miss anything good? I caught the last 30 seconds of Clapton and suffered through the Backstreet Boys and Melissa before... The Who.

Can you imagine putting a video camera in your house when you have friends come over, and broadcasting that signal on TV assuming that you are so cool that everyone want to observe your life?
That is what all of these awards shows and benefit concerts are. All of these liberal elitists sit around and say "hey, lets have a TV show about us interacting with each other, everyone is just dying to watch us".
Unfortunetly, they appear to be right, but I don't watch these things for even a second.

It really has been good.....even us "geezers" are enjoying it!
Susan Sarandon introduced Mark Green as "the man who will rebuild New York City." The crowd BOOED........and she looked like she had been b*t*h slapped.
It was great.
Warning: "They" are there.
