Good Morning!! Do not let them die in vain!!
This is a quick start this morning as I'm using Mrs. Chairman's computer (I did something to my Windows 2000 setup that I have to fix - and it's not even letting me in as Admin, ugh. Isn't technology wonderful?).
American ground forces raided Taliban positions last night. Two dead from a helicopter crash while over Pakistan. Prayers continue and are intensified for our troops.
Afghan soldiers supporting the Taliban are being told that while they are living a life of hell and misery, their leader is whooping it up with his three wives.
Explosives were found at the Greyhound bus terminal in Philadelphia. There was enough material in a suitcase to blow up the entire terminal. The bomb squad considers them military grade explosives.
A University of Hawaii professors says America is to blame for her troubles, while students at Amherst College burn the American flag.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
*Prayers* to us ALL and *prayers* to all our alls....
Miss Marple ... lepton and ABG provided links to lovely exploding things on yesterday's thread ...
Beyond that, I do not have a single relevant thing to say today ...
I guess my brain has decided to take a powder for a bit. HAR!
Had a great time last night with a disruptor from DU...it turned into who could throw the better bomb at the DU loser..
Dog Gone got a comment pulled by the Sidebar Moderator and we all celebrated that .....LOL!
I was called a redneck .....told the disruptor he was giving me a big head...LOLOL!....:-)
We lite the poor DU disruptor up!!
Good fun!
I do have one other relevant comment to make ...
Chair ... thank you for always starting this thread so dependably and wisely .... I am sorry I have not said this more often ...*grin*
OK ....
Illstillbe, thanks for the information on things that go boom! Just the thing to look at while sipping my coffee!
As Mr. Marple was leaving this morning, Fox said that President Bush would be having a working dinner with Vladimir Putin. Mr. Marple said "well, everyone else gets photo ops, but Vlad gets dinner!" Mr. Marple pays more attention than I realize, sometimes. He is exactly right.
In addition, there is a UK article posted which says that Russia will be working with us on terrror, and that there is a deal in the works involving NATO, missile shields, and OIL. Heheheh.
Gosh, that cowboy is soooo stupid, isn't he?
WE HAVE RETURNED :)
We are all slightly tired around the edges yet......and Molly is winging her way home even as I type.
We drove dittomom to the airport yesterday, straight off the ship.
I took a few pictures, and will post them as soon as I can get my husband's help.
The absolute best part of this cruise was spending time with & getting to know Molly Pitcher and dittomom!
If I ever had to be stuffed into a small stateroom again, it would surely be with these two......(unless my husband was around, of course :^
We had a very small room, and spent the whole week stepping over luggage, clothes, other items, and each other........but truly I have never met two more gracious, easy going, affable & truly genuine ladies.
Not one cross word between us............just a harmonious give & take every day.
We three had fun exploring the ship, the dining room :) ....and the islands together.
We were ...The Three Musteteerettes.....:))
I think we all are glad to be home or going home............back to normalcy, or whatever normalcy is nowadays.
Again,......exclusive to this thread.....I will post pictures sometime this weekend!
I'm glad to be home :)
Jemian, glad that you are okay and hope you are less tired today.
Dog, have a safe trip.
Goooooo Mariners!
Have a wonderful day, everyone! The blessings continue to flow...
Please ping me to the photo's.....:-)
I must be off for the day.....
See you all later stay safe
Guess I have to relearn a few things :(
Enjoy your day off!
Lancaster is beautiful country.....especially this time of year.
I was very thankful for the extra security, let me tell you!!
I've been on a couple cruises before, and this was definitely different.
But once on board, they tried very hard to make the atmosphere non tense....and pleasurable.
We had a limited channel of CNN news.....and a newsletter in the mornings...
...but I can tell you it probably wasn't far from anyone's thoughts throughout the cruise.....
....breakfast, lunch & dinner with folks from all over the country....and the topic usually wandered to the 'T' subject at some point, although Molly, dittomom and I found MANY things in common with our mealtime friends, and enjoyed lovely conversations about other parts of the country & shared interests.
We are currently working on a "show" to give my family when we visit for Thanksgiving...they are SO EXCITED!! We are now working on "hand movements and dance steps". Michael is making signs to hold up during the song "The Great Defenders of the USA", which include AF,Marines,Army,Navy, Coast Guard, National Guard. He says "we'll hold up signs whenever they say them, Mark & I will take turns....."
I am so glad they are my gifts from God...As I speak, Mark is in their room practicing holding the flag and the words that Lee Greenwood says in the middle of the "Pledge of Allegiance Song"....I wish you all could see them. :-)
....LOL, don't get too excited Dog :) ....there are no 'bathing suit pics' from our lovely threesome.....We're waaaaaaaay too modest :^)
