Statesmen attract attention to themselves by the seriousness of their ideas and the power of their rhetoric. Silly little airheads who get elected wear costumes.

It isn't quite as stupid as it all sounds. She was actually making a statement about the inhumane way that the Taliban treat women and the insufferable lives of those who have to wear the godforaken clothing. It is hot, you can't breath, and you can't see.
To: Cool Guy
Ya, know she's kinda hot (infinite sarcasm)

You are correct, DeLauro is the ugliest woman I have ever seen. We need pics of this hag! Ask, and ye shall recieve:

OMG...next we'll see Hillary on the senate floor wearing a black pantsuit....oops, she has already done that. A veil over her face would be a definite improvement though ;~&

Some commie-lib bitch in our own government can do this, some commie-lib bitch on CNN can wear her cornrows and dumbass beads in her hair, but an Anglo like me has to 'play the role' with the haircut, suit, etc.
Screw you diversity types, as long as it isn't Anglo, it's OK, huh? FOAD

On the Senate side, Ted Kennedy lies on the floor to show how water buffaloes bloat up after stepping on a landmine. Excellent!

Serious question...
Where did all the belly dancers come from?
To: Yankee
How old are you people?
Why make fun of these women who are nothing more than slaves? It's the sorry men who are causing the trouble.
Some of you have no compassion or mercy for anyone.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney (Dem NY) wore one of those blue Burqas on the house floor to show "solidarity" with the women of Afghanistan. Hume just showed a clip of her speaking.
If she really wants to show solidarity then brit hume should be allowed to beat her silly with a cane then drag her into a soccer arena to be shot with a cheap chinese knockoff of the AK-47 while thousands of men cheer.

~~Whew~~
Thanks :-)

I nearly wet myself. It was a definite improvement. I just hope it catches on with other, uh, shall we say, less than attractive libs. Lol. Good, but they shouldn't have to dress like the enemy for all that. Can't they just wear cardboard boxes with paper bags over their heads?
Of course, some of them are the enemy...

John,
How come this reply (and others like it) show up in my self search?
To: LarryLied
Later tonight Barney Frank appears on the House floor in a loincloth to show the impoverishment of peasant men in Afghanistan. On the Senate side, Ted Kennedy lies on the floor to show how water buffaloes bloat up after stepping on a landmine. TOO funny!
