Geez -- a bunch of over the hill Hippies...just what we don't need. These people are as idiotic as they were 30-35 years ago.

who cares what some freak city in this godforsaken state does, they don't represent the majority of Americans. I think the entire city should be tried for sedition, and disbanded.

I'm surprised their piddly little vote didn't include declaring Berkeley an Anthrax Free Zone.

Hey! That would work for my house! I hereby declare my house an Anthrax Free Zone. Ahhhhhh, there. Whew, I feel a lot better now! That takes care of everything.

To paraphrase the old question about whether a sound is made when the tree falling in the forest and no one is around: If the Taliban attacked Berkeley would anyone care?

I beg to differ!! The would make excellent human shields out on the deserts of Afghanistan. Oh yeah, you could stand one in the corner or your backyard to draw away the flies at your next politically incorrect bbq!! They are also good for teaching your children to point and laugh. See, even idiot hippies have an use.

I just sent an e-mail to the Berkely Chamber of Commerce telling them I hope the entire nation boycotts berkely, and that all business goes away. When the business owners face foreclosure on their homes they might elect sensible people.

"continue to honor Berkeley's tradition of opposition to brute force to solve profoundly difficult social problems."

Just in case there are any Americans left who need convincing that Bush is doing the right thing. Here is the final proof. Berkeley is against this war. Therefore it is a just and good war.

Good job! I think I will join you in that. They probably won't care, but at least they know some Americans will not stand for this attempt at dividing the nation.

The stupidity continues. When Marin and a few other counties declared themselve Nuke Free Zones and would not allow City/County Depts to purchase from corporations in that industry, they made a major error.

By taking this action, batteries and certain communications equipment necessary to law enforcement could not be purchased because those very companies made the equipment.

Our company had many a laugh with the cops and city/county employees would come in to purchase those items and vent their spleens over the ridiculous stipulations applied by people who do not understand actions have consequences. Which, I personally believe is why they do not understand the reason we are at war.
