Speculation on 9/11 was that a PA nuclear power plant was a target that day. I doubt it, given that the flight was heading back toward DC.

Well, on 9/11, I went down to Wawa (convenience store) to get some lunch with my husband, and the counter girl said that the nuclear power plant which I referred to had the national guard guarding it. That was only 2 or 3 hours after the initial attack. Did I mention I live in the middle of nowhere?

I remember Bader-Meinhof VERY WELL. I visited the Munich Olympic venues in 1972 just one month before the games/bombings.

I lived in Germany, 1969-1971, and was still sort of an honorary resident, when 1972 Munich terror incident took place. During my time there, I met met some guestworker types. The ones I met were from Portugal and Greece.

Baader-Meinhoff, and other Euro terror groups, were alligned with Cuba, Palestinians, left and communism in general.

This is creepy. The Willow Grove air show was the weekend before Sept 11th. These are our local folks who comfort us with their daily presence. The incident in Plymouth Twp is too close for comfort too . . .

I keep trying to keep calm so the kids don't get too scared. Their school field trips have been curtailed already, but I'm not sure they're fully aware of it.

You mentioned school field trips.... my daughter is in High School and they take a trip every other year - this year, on Sept. 12, they were scheduled to come home with the information regarding their trip for this year. It was a trip to Southern California, via Newark ..... they are now meeting with the parents to determine what should be done - I voted for a Chartered flight - but I believe it will end up being cancelled altogether.....
