Conscientious Objector status on the rise.

Just heard on the Ken Hamblin talk show that conscientious objector status has been on the increase since the 9/11 attacks. Enlisted personnel want their status changed. They claimed they were fooled by their recruiters. They also claim that they did not go into the service to defend their country. They assumed that they would join to get a trade and some extra money, and service benifits not to fight.

"They assumed that they would join to get a trade"
That's true.
Their trade is to kill the enemy, and to not get killed unnecessarily.

,,, does this mean FReepers everywhere will be drafted?

The "solution" is an immediate court martial and an all expenses paid trip to Leavenworth.

Okay, I'm a little confused, how can you be a slodier and a consciencious objector at the same time?

nothing worse than a traitor wearing a US military uniform.....

Hey if a guy is yellow he's yellow...we don't need 'em. On my first patrol I came a millisecond from blowing away a coward. He said he wasn't going and waved his "16" at me...only problem was his was on "safe" and mine was on "auto." We brought him back and sent him home. Give me one brave Marine over a whole company of cowards. Semper Fi, Mike

Life's a bitch; they cashed their checks (paid for by you and me) and took their chances, now the bill has come due. What did they think that firearms training during basic was for?

I missed that part about the source but will find out and enter it. Ken had a guest on from the Center of Conscience and War. Web site is www.nisbco.org. Check it out. DUCKMAN

Okay, I'm a little confused, how can you be a slodier and a consciencious objector at the same time?I don't believe they can. There is no draft, so all of them are volunteers. If they were conscientious objectors, they should not have entered the military.
