Billy Graham - Sept 14, 2001 There is one thing about what happened (last Tuesday/Friday) that came in under the radar and escaped many Christians. For the first time in history, one man (Billy Graham) spoke the Gospel to the entire world at the same time. He gave the sermon at the National Memorial Service and was broadcast on every major television station in the U.S. and by satellite to the world.Every country in the world received this broadcast...and because it was a Geo-Political event, every leader watched and heard it translated into his/her language. Many ministers have their messages broadcast in other countries and carried around the world, but this is the first time that the entire world listened to the Gospel preached at one time. The World and All its leaders tuned in and heard the gospel. Never before has one individual preached to the leaders of the world and their country at one time.Mark 13:10 - And the Gospel must first be preached to all the nations Matthew 24:14 - And this Gospel of the King shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations and the end shall come. Romans 10 - whole chapter - particularly verse 18.One thought on this is that through Billy Graham today, Biblical prophecy was fulfilled. As we listened to him, retail stores had the entire service broadcast throughout every speaker in the store's audio system. It was on virtually every TV and radio station and people across America held hands and wept before God. Some say that the Holy Spirit came upon Billy Graham just as it did upon John the Baptist announcing the Kingdom of God is at hand. Some also believe that this is the most significant prophecy to be fulfilled since Israel became a nation in 1948. Agree or not, it was staggering to hear this. Scripture tells us often, to watch, take heed, and stay alert, for we do not know when the appointed time is.Mark 13:33. FYI
When you walk on the slippery slope of people not being healed because they dont believe or have no faith you are teaching a lie of the devil. And you can never ever ever ever say Jesus did not heal because he could not. He might have chose not to but it was not because he could not. That is putting a limit on Gods power and there is no limit to Gods power.
I must observe however that even he now understands that many of those "confessions" of faith were not "valid",but rather induced by the circumstances...and because he had no ministry in place to follow up no one except God knows how many responded to His grace thru that ministry.
I believe if the gospel is preached it always accomplishes what God intends for it..
Rev.Graham is now a very sick old man.May God bless and keep him.
Jerry - I agree with your "Pan-Millenial" approach.
I know this: God has prepared a place for me because I have trusted the completed work of His Son. THAT give me great comfort. I am not worried about the details.

Whoever said that baptism and church membership were requirements for salvation?
I think that you will find that the "requirements for salvation" have not varied one bit. Those who are elected by God to salvation will be saved by the atoning sacrifice of Christ in their place, and will be sanctified by His power. This has been the same from the beginning.
I thought for sure you'd know and be there!
And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christs sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. - II Corinthians 12:7-10
I guess that the Apostle Paul didn't have enough of your type of faith?
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure - Isaiah 46:9,10
It will come as news to God that He is dependent upon you for anything. Of course, you take great pride in the fact that He is powerless without your assistance, don't you?

The question remains! BTW, the NKJV is my carry Bible so I already know what it says.
Hmmm. Sometimes "sound bites" won't cut it!
Perhaps the original poster meant that the specific object or contents of this faith have changed, which (in the sense in which I mean it) is true. That is, Noah was saved through faith, but faith for him did not mean believing in Jesus Christ, incarnate, dead, buried, resurrected, and ascended. A person is saved today through faith just as was Noah, but that faith must rest on the Lord Jesus Christ, incarnate, dead, buried, resurrected, and ascended not merely faith in the God who attests His authorship of creation and His coming judgment (as Noah).

Those in the entire central time zone of the U.S. that attended noon prayer services didn't hear him, including me.
Help I am confused :>)Would you tell me what your church teaches as necessary for Salvation?
Officially I am catholic but I can read. I hammered out my own theology by reading the bible. I'm fed up with people fighting over salvation. If I were God I would be fed up with people who fight over religion. Put your money where your mouth is. Love one another.
Read your bible. Jesus told different people they had to do different things to be saved. Different strokes for different folks. Some got the Holy Spirit before they were baptized by water. He dealt with people as individuals, not spiritual clones. Worry about the mote in your own eye before trying to remove the beam from others' eyes. In contemporary language, mind your own business.
I guess that this is a "contemporary" version of presenting the "gospel". (Also known as "I don't care what the Scriptural requirement for salvation is, as far as I am concerned, anyone can make up anything they want. God will understand.") See my #43 and #89. It really isn't "different strokes for different strokes", God has laid out definitive requirements for salvation, and they are the same for all of us.
