Carl Cameron just reported that the ANTHRAX that was mailed to Daschle was natural spore, NOT enhanced, weaponized or modified in any way.
The Senators have all just been briefed by experts that it was potent, in that there was large number of spores by volume of powder, but that it was, quote, "Garden Variety" spores.
It was not the "floating variety that could spread through venitilation systems" that has been reported since yesterday.
Looks like Daschle caused a greater panic than warranted.
He's having a press conference in a few minutes, evidently to "revise and extend his remarks" from yesterday.
What an alarmist loser.
I apologize, I put the wrong date 10/14 instead of 10/17.
They are carrying this news now.
My theory - A disgruntled postal worker, who couldn't get a machine gun because of the new gun laws.
What gets me is that after 24-hour harping by the TV media about anthrax, and how to open mail safely, over the weekend, someone in Daschle's office paid not the slightest bit of attention, and in so-doing, endangered all the people in the room.
My hunch - They thought it was the other white powder.
I have heard others say exactly the opposite, that it was highly weaponized.
Carl Cameron just reported that the ANTHRAX that was mailed to Daschle was natural spore, NOT enhanced, weaponized or modified in any way.
Right, this from the same people who originally said the guy in FL who died caught it in the woods of NC. He died from Inhalation Anthrax (weaponized Anthrax.) This from the same people who said that this was not a coordinated bio terrorist attack and that there was "no connection between the Anthrax attacks and the events of 911."
Sorry, they had their chance. At this stage, I don't trust them to tell us the truth. They are in "crowd control, keep the multitudes from panicking" mode.

Irradiate mail. Pork is irradiated to protect against trichina. Spices are irradiated to kill vermin and bacteria. Every post office should have a gamma ray machine to protect our mail. Vulnerable government organizations and corporations should probably have them too. (No, I don't own stock in whoever makes these things.) AZLiberty |
The snorting kind, I assume? I seriously wonder, however, what affect this will have on the coke abusers of the world?
Given the ability of senators to be dramatic and get things wrong, this is no surprise to me whatsoever.
Maybe since the anthrax scare, they've assigned opening mail to a mentally challenged office worker.
What's the matter? Disappointed?
Newman?
