How sweet it is. American voters OVERWHELMINGLY prefer Bush over the guy that the media has been INSISTING is still America's choice.

Three cheers for President Bush.

Geez, and yet, Zogby seems surprised. Seems like 72% of the people now know what we've known all along. Welcome to reality, America! We have an honorable man in charge now.

72% to 20%...Wow, I hope Molly Ivans doesn't see the results of this poll. It may be enough to make her commit suicide...Well...maybe I hope that she does see it :o)

You had to ask?? Because the media loves the guy (Clinton) - and they can't understand why the public is soooooooooo tired of him. I am hopeful this will finally put a lid on their constant harping about what a wonderful guy he is.
I have never forgotten what Tom Brokaw said to GW right before he was President. He asked GW is he knew that Bill Clinton's job ratings were 67% (since Bush only got 54% of the vote). GW was so cool - all he said was, "well, I'm the one taking office tomorrow". I thought Tom was so crasse! And ... I have never reminded him of that little slam - gee ... maybe now is a good time!!

The good thing about this poll is that it was delivered by John Zogby, one of "theirs."

Do you know how much better this is than pre 9-11? I would like to see how much opinion has changed on this. You and me both. Unfortunately, even though it is mentioned in the survey, they don't give the numbers. From what I remember about past polls, the increase is not trivial.

I keep wondering how X-42 could have gotten 20%; then I remembered the 'Give Peace a Chance Group' across Blackstone Avenue. Yep, there are lots of complete idiots in this country who would vote for the 'Rat, even x42, no matter what. I am just astonished that it's only 20%, I thought it would be much higher than that.
Actually, my mother-in-law (who voted for x42 twice I am ashamed to say) would vote for Bush if the election were held today so there's hope for the future, I guess.

Um..I appreciate it...but I wasn't going to call it that. JEEZ!
What did I do wrong? It used to work! WHat's going on in here...times-are-a-changing.

I'd love to see a poll between Bush Sr. and Clinton. I think the numbers would be similar.

They're in Florida and still haven't figured out how to vote!

OMG! LOL! I didn't even look at it that way! It didn't enter my mind at all. Oh well -- the dirty-minded got their giggle out of me for the day! I just didn't want to take credit for your George W find. (Oy vay!)
The forum has gotten really persnickety about taking HTML links lately. Sometimes you only need to keep trying. Change the upper case to lower case or something, just so it thinks you're entering something different! *G* It was having a hiccup when I tried to post it too, but eventually it went through! ;-}

"There are two men, both extremely wealthy. One develops relatively cheap software and gives hundreds of millions of dollars to charity. The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why is it that Clinton spent more money chasing down Bill Gates than Osama bin Laden?" Excellent post. Bill Gates also pays mega bucks in taxes, as well as employing thousands of people who pay taxes, as well as providing services and software for which there is a saless tax component. Bill Gates is a revenue builder while bin Laden is nothing but a destroyer.
Good question why did Clinton/Reno waste millions on a stupid lawsuit and nothing on a bringing a murderer terrorist to justice?

God bless GW, America, FreeRepublic and our soldiers.

There was a certain presence of war when Clinton was in office; he just chose to ignore it.Yes, and so did his successor. Nobody in either administration took the declaration of jihad that seriously until Sept. 11.
