| Several alarms have been jingling in the back of my mind. I think the one ringing loudest was President Bush announcing the UN was going to aid America on the home front. To Hell with those socialist, one law under the rule of the United Nations world dominance communists. What about our own military reserves? What about protecting ourselves with our own weapons, weapons given to us by the Constitution and Bill of Rights? So far those socialist thugs elected to Congress have been unable to strip us of the right to bear arms. Believe me, they are still buzzing around out of the klieg lights of patriotism reverberating across our great land and are still as determined as ever to turn us into a third world nation with them as our beneficent rulers. Granted, the UN offer is, as G W pointed out, a first in its questionable history, but what will America have to give up once this war on terror has run its course? This war will end and I believe western civilization will prevail. What we don't know is how long it must be pursued or when it will end. Thanks to previous administrations and our disgustingly politically correct touchy feely lifestyle of the past years, we cannot fight this war by ourselves. President Bush has persuaded one Hell of a lot of nations to join in this war. I am grateful we have them for our allies in the interim. This show of cooperation and unity is a sight to behold, but more bells are clattering in my alarm system. Hey folks, these assorted "allies" aren't in this for the fun of it. Every single one of them is expecting to be reimbursed in one form or another. Unfortunately, nothing worth having is free. What will the long term and irrevocable price be for our victory over terrorism? Never forget for an instant, the majority of the rest of the world hates America and what she stands for. Take a close look at our "helpers." Most are at best Socialists and at worst, terrorists themselves. France, Great Britain and to an extent Canada, are in a world of hurt because of their politics and medical liberalism. Okay, sure, everyone has medical care, but their policies of heavy taxation and free medical aid has damned near broken their economies. They are busted or are heading that way in a free falling ski lift off Everest. What piece of the American pie are they expecting to receive? Are we going to bail them out? Will we have to allow further restrictions on our manufactured goods while they continue flooding our retail markets with inferior products? Will we be expected to give up our currency and accept the eurodollar? I'm sorry, I have no answers to these questions, but they must be asked. Don't misunderstand, I'm grateful the alliance is there. I just don't want Americans to be lulled into a false sense of security and Kumbayism by their seeming unity with the United States of America. Our allies aren't in this relationship out of the goodness of their hearts. They are in it for their own self interest and Heaven knows what price America will ultimately end up paying. There is no doubt in my mind, actions do have consequences and thanks to Clintonism, we may end up paying the ultimate price for the assistance we have had to elicit from others. After he finished strangling the military, turning it into meals on wheels and slashing our military budget into the bone, a force to be reckoned with became a "pouf" in the breeze. We are staring down the throat of his grandiose follies and we may have had to sell our souls to achieve the final victory over the thugs of the world. The perihelia price we end up paying may ultimately be our very freedom and sovereignty. Sadly, we have no choice in the matter if we are to be victorious. This is still the best place on Earth to live and there are still millions of people worldwide who would love to be here sharing in our freedom and bounty.
