RonDog, a huge big fat wonderful love ya Hugh BUMP! He's probably the #1 talk show host!!! Well, in my heart he is! And thanks for posting the links-how-to for getting Hugh's articles.
John, thank you so much for the ping!

Does anyone else get the wonderful satisfaction of telling the poor telemarketer for the LA Times, how you REALLY FEEL about that paper???? I'm nice, but in very strong terms, tell them they couldn't give it to me for free!!!

Thanks for the heads up on this one!

Need to keep an eye on Daschle! Thanks to Hugh for the plug for Thune, too!! Thune has a marvelous ad running in South Dakota right now.
Speaking of Dem's bad mouthing....anyone see / hear Jim Lehrer's report on PBS tonight? McDermott (D-WA) is a traitor to his country!!! He said he signed the bill turning over the money and power to the President because he was forced too, after so many deaths in NYC! Then tried to say the present committing of troops and military is a bad idea, after what he saw in 'Nam!!! (Can someone get a copy of that? I am too new here to know how! ::giggle:: )
Loved that last line, Hugh!! Touche' !

" I mean everything was the 'evil-doers.' It's cartoon talk, it's for 8-year-old kids reading books.
Imagine telling our grandkids 30 years from now, 'Oh, the evil-doers did it.' They'd think we were nitwits."Well put me in the nitwits camp! I guess right and wrong won't fit in Matthews' bubble. I hope to be a grandmother some day. And the sad fact is, our children will suffer this evil for the next twenty years--if not longer. Better to steel them now with simple virtues than leave them unprepared.

Kingsolver:
The more sophisticated approach, they suggest, is to accept that we are all on a jolly road trip down the maw of catastrophe, so shut up and drive. Can you imagine being in a car with this woman? LOL
Thanks, Arne.

I know Barbara Kingsolver, she lives in my home town.... she's a bleeding heart pinko... and she wants to change the world... even Salon.com magazine calls her "shrill"...." with a fiery itch to condemn, rather than understand, evil..."

I know Barbara Kingsolver, she lives in my home town.... You have my deepest sympathy. : )
She's a mess.

LA Times is a fringe-left newpaper. Barbara Kingsolver is a self-hating Protestant and a utopian to boot. The only mystery is why anyone buys the damn paper.

Isn't that sort of like being called "ugly" by a pig?
LOL!

If it's safe enough to open the papers to Kingsolver, the airwaves to Matthews and the Senate to Daschle... ...then it's safe enough to allow homegrown and pre-cleared taxpayers to park within a mile of the terminal.
Makes sense to me!
