Well, I attend Mass on a fairly regular basis. Although, several of the parishioners have suggested that even the closeness of the Catholic Church to the Lord may not be sufficient to save my Lutheran soul.

Well, just keep going through the motions at Mass and maybe God won't notice you're Lutheran. ;-)
