The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

Okay, so how do we get to the new forum. With the FR facelift and this change coinciding I was contemplating:
"The entrance of His words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple." Ps. 119:130

Happy Easter, everyone . In the words of a GREAT American, Charles Brown .... "Good Grief!" ..... I`ve only been visiting FR for 3 weeks now, was just beginning to be able to manuever a bit, and they up and change the formats! Is there somewhere on FR that I can go to take a crash course in procedures? Thanks .

XS>The L-rd's Supper is a pesach seder up through but not including the last "cup of the vine" (Matthew 26)
IMR>Are you refering to the lupper room? Or the "Lord's supper" we have today (in whatever form). If the first, I agree completely. I'm not sure of the context if the second.
XS>The last cup is drunk at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Revelation 19
IMR>I had always assumed that the fourth cup was drunk at the cross - "Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit."
Maybe "it is finished" refers to the seder?

How do you read :
Mk. 14:24 This is my blood of the [Some manuscripts: the new]
covenant, which is poured out for many, he said to them.
Mk. 14:25 I tell you the truth, I will not drink again of the fruit of the
vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of
God.
Mk. 14:26 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of
Olives.
Maybe "it is finished" refers to the seder?
"it is finished" is translated in the Greek as "Paid in Full". Payment for our sins.
