I have read many post today about incidents where we have not taken action on Talaban forces when they were in plain view. Why are we not using the full force of our military. Everyone knows we will not be win without sacrifice. We should let our military do what they are trained to do. Bring in the full force, including attack air craft and fighter chopters. Especially when we see the enemy in plain view. Our biggest mistake is to fight this war thinking we will not have casulties. Let's Roll..

A lot of stuff is going on behind the scenes. And besides, we prefer the dark of night under a sickle moon. For that makes our power grow stronger. Ironic that the very moon they revere is perfect for us.

Biggest reason is probably justified concern about the effects of a Northern Alliance victory. Lack of concern about who we were supporting is exactly what led to our support of Osama when we were helping the Afghans fight the Russians.

Just because the Taliban is despicable doesn't mean the NA are wonderful human beings. I strongly suspect the wonderful human beings of Afghanistan were exterminated a few centuries back.

Let's hope that we're in it to win. Right now, there are probably more important targets to take out and that will serve to bring down the opposition's commmand, control, and communications structure -- things that will pay off more in the long run than taking gatuitious pot shots at the enemy's light infantry formations with valuable ordinance that's been flown in over hostile territory for almost four hours on carrier launched fighter/bomber platforms.

Like the old saying goes, amateurs talk about tactics ... professonals concern themselves with logistics.
