Cyanide is a common industrial chemical and can be found in large quantities. It is deadly when mixed with acid. The US Dept of Transportation forbids cyanide to be transported with acids.

Something smells fishy here. Why would someone go to the Iranian embassy to get a visa to visit Mecca? Mecca's in Saudi Arabia. I'm pretty sure, in fact, I guarantee that the Iranian embassy can't issue Saudi visas.

(Saudi actually has special "pilgrim" visas that are good only for visiting Mecca, Medina, and Jeddah [where the big airport is]. You can't use them to go elsewhere in the country.)

The terrorists aren't going to cart an entire factory and detonate
it. And small quantities that can be carried simply will not do
"massive" damage. You can kill one, two at most. It is not
practical to use for their type of terrorism.

The fear factor, to those ignorant of the lack of actual danger,
is what the terrorists are after. And by promoting nonsensical
scenarios of doomsday, the terrorist's work is done for them.
