What surprises me about these peacenics is that they would be the first to complain about loss of liberty if Britain became a totalitarian state, a definite possibility if we had not stood up to the Nazis and the Communists.

I, too, am so disgusted with these people that they are not worth my saliva to spit upon them. Patrick Henry always comes to mind when I see them:

Ivan, you are an important voice of encouragement to us and your countrymen and I stand united with you! Sometimes I feel like we stand alone in a righteous cause after watching demonstrators in Western countries on TV. We have to realize that these people are an extreme minority and although many span the spectrum from socialists to anarchists, many are just plain ignorant of the dangers lurking at and inside our doorsteps. They think we can reason with the unreasonable. WRONG! The lines are being drawn now and if we fail to face our adversaries and protect our freedoms and way of life, we are doomed.

Ivan, I was at RAF Greenham Common in 1983, when the first ground launched cruise missiles arrived. All those peace mongering women were camped outside the gate. I don't think the local British liked them much, and I think they were involved with CND. I was in the control tower, when, all of a sudden, we looked up, and saw a car speeding across the infield, across the runway, toward a USAF C-5 sitting on the ramp. This was a few weeks after the Marine Barracks in Beirut was blown up. A 20 year old USAF security policeman, took off after him and hit him head on with his vehicle. Talk about a helpless feeling from the tower, there was nothing we could do, but watch.
