I believe you're correct; the maintenance/ground personnel were part of the plan and planted box-cutters in some planes. I think one was also found in a trash bin on board one flight.

Given these guys' M.O., this Toronto-New York flight was probably meant to take out a target near Toronto. Sears Tower? Something in Canada?

If they were going to plant something, why would they plant something that could be carried on legally? Why not something more useful like an AK47 with a half-dozen spare magazines or an 18" short sword?

If the ground maintenance personnel planted those "box cutters", why didn't they plant guns or, at the very least, real (over 9" blade ) knives? Any ideas?

I think folks are right that there were ground personal somehow involved. I also think we released some info too soon, particularly about the car left at the airport by Atta and also the contents of his luggage.

While it is important to locating other witnesses ASAP, I believe they would have come forward on their own just by posting the hijackers pictures.

Maybe the 5th person on the one flight WAS there and we missed him somehow.

Regardless, I believe there was a hijack team that did their dirty AND a ground team who videod the whole thing and were responsible for the anthrax getting into the mails.

Flight 587 which crashed in New York was also, I believe, on a Tuesday, the same day of the week as 9-11 and the Anthrax posting dates.
