If you have a baby on the way, bought a new car or house, found out your kid aced his SAT, are having a good harvest, caught an excellent fish, or have some other happy news please post it. I am so depressed and sad for my country, and I don't know ANYONE in person who has had anything nice happen in the last month. Not one person.

Baby girl due in two weeks. Like Mrs. Bootyist and Bootyist Jr., I'm very excited... though Bootyist Jr. is worried that the birth might put a cramp into his Halloween. Contingency plans in full effect just in case.

I'm getting laif off from my job on11/02/2001 (Apparel Industry).
Lost just about all of my earnings (and principal) in the stock market.
Live in the same city as my Mother-In-Law.

However, have a beautiful wife, two healthy kids, and starting to build our dream home in a few weeks.
Life is good!

Bait loves VY-enna sausages. As to getting back to sea, the Mobius Triangle is undergoing minor repairs and will be ready soon. However, it is just so dang pleasant down here in Costa Rica we may wait a bit.

We'll be working way up the coast to San Diego. (Am hoping the pirates south of Aoapulco we encounted a couple of years ago show up. One of the boats in our flotilla wants to try our the twin-fifties I sold him.)

We'll be at the Colorado cabin before the road is closed by snow.
Will notify crew of sailing date soon.
Don't wander too far into the jungle.

Nice to hear the updates ofMagog. I could not be a part of a better crew. I feel like I know each of you already from the Snow Bunny. She always says with a giggle "OH look at this post we are having another adventure"

Colorado is the perfect place to be for Christmas.

Stay safe.

Excellent post. It's not the spectacular events that make life good. It's the daily blessings of family and home. We're living in the United States of America, which automatically means we're better off than the vast majority of the world's residents.

Affirmative on the skis, Spam and sausage. We'll likely need cheese too. Copious amounts!

Colorado is the perfect place to be for Christmas.

Glad you're aboard! Sailing from Costa Rica to Colorado is going to be one hell of a stunt!!

Nevada's the major problem if there's no wind in the sails, which would have been no problem for CHIEF, but he'll be watching over us. Snow Bunny'll have to get out and pull while the rest of you hold unbrellas over the beer cooler.

,,, on Saturday I took a long ride in a 1948 Frazier-Nash racer. This really was a silver box moment for me - I'll never forget it. Great weather; magnificent car. It's up for sale but way out of my league.

Happy, happy Sunday. I have just returned from an anti-abortion protest. It was not ordinary in light of the happenings of the past month, but I started out to McDonalds. (Had a Big Mac attack.) As I was driving through the one and only 5 corner intersection around here, there were about 75 people, braving the wind and the rain. At first, I couldn't make out the signs because of the downpour. Finally I got a lady's attention and asked her what was going on. Proudly, standing next to the American Flag and a WWI Doughboy, she held her sign out for me to read. *THERE IS NO INNOCENCE WHEN YOU MURDER AN INNOCENT*. Others, male and female, held signs ; *GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE. CONSIDER ADOPTION*. *SAVE THE PREBORN*. *ONLY TERRORISTS KILL INNOCENTS*
Each sign was different. I gave her a thumbs up, found a place to park, and relieved an elderly lady who was drenched and shivering. In the end, it was storming pretty badly. We all hugged before we ran dripping to our cars. There wasn't a soul among them I knew, but today was a very good day indeed.

but he'll be watching over us.

With help like that.
If it can be done, we'll be the ones that do it!

Note to all the wimmin:
The sails are going to need MAXIMUM surface area. So ... We may need the lifeboat cover material back. ;^P

Er, we might oughta let 'em keep the cover. That Nevada sun gets pretty bright long 'bout afternoon.

Nice and peaceful down here in Costa Rica, 'cepting for Arenal belching every few hours and Bait muttering over the cut in beer ration.

I did say "may need".
As always, I'll leave the final decision to the Capt'n.

Bait muttering over the cut in beer ration.
My friend Bait can have mine. I like the grog better anyway.

To: ofMagog; michigander; FallGuy; LadyX; Fred Mertz; Snow Bunny; Scuttlebutt; razorback-bert...
Welcome aboard, FallGuy.
We'll show you around when we sail.

The one area that has always attracted the men's attention is the ladies' exercise area on the aft deck.
It used to be on the poop deck, but the ladies griped about the smell.

We have always been very considerate of the ladies' privacy on the aft deck.
We even installed a strand of barb wire to provide a screen while they were exercising in their topless bikinis.

After that last escapade in the Staits of Malacca when Scuttlebutt drank too much Poisson Kru and Snow Bunny HAD to stay in the brig with him for two days to nurse him back to health (amidst a lot of giggling, I must say), I don't think the Cap'n is going to let us drink anything stronger than grape juice.

LadyX has kindly consented to allow us to use her bra as a sail when we approach Colorado.
If it will propel us across the Pacific at 180 knots, it should provide the power to get us across the Rockies.

Fred is going to have to have a new pair of skis before Colorado.

Carolinamom, razorback-bert and michigander have been saddled with the responsibility of catching the phish for Bait to eat.

As the CHIEF would say, "Relax, have phun."

Soooooooooo....THREE PEOPLE to catch phish for ONE cat??? If rbb holds Bait over the side by his tail, that cat should be able to catch his own phish IF he hasn't been lapping up too much of the grog. (Bait may have to subsist on SPAM all the way to Colorada.)

Will be not signing in for a bit. Headed for trip to top of the rain forest
to camp out on high platform much like this one for a few nights.
(Nice place to sleep, as long as one watchs one's steps if needing
to meet a call of nature in the middle of the night...)
(Spam and banana sandwich is lousy unusual.)

COB1 will maintain the usual state of disorder.
Rest of crew will gather rations for return to the Mobius Triangle.

Staying here to guard cabin.

She is our good luck cat, after all, and an essential part of the crew.
Besides, she/he LIKES Spam!!
(I routinely feed her my..um..scraps..:)))
