I haven't made a "Freep" yet and I won't make this one.

Doing some shooting tomorrow to keep in practice. Have a couple Massachusetts residents going with me!

Not All Massachusetts residents are Idiots, just most of them!

Ya think they would have better things to do...like correcting Barney Frank's lisp! *L*

By the way...During the Presidential campaign I listened to Gore on the radio. His voice was carried a lot more clearer than on T.V. I noticed he too has a lisp, albeit a subtle one.

Dear Barbara,
I quote,"I search my soul and find I cannot love killing for any reason. "

Perhaps,to save your fellow Americans lives isn't good enough for you?

Perhaps,to save the lives of your friends and family, isn't good enough for you?

God in heaven, what has this country come to,when the likes of a rabbit like yourself can bare not only their throat but those of the rest of us to the fanatic.

Sorry,Barbara.I won't be going quietly with you and if you continue to act in such a way as to endanger your fellow Americans you will find out what happens to the enemies of America.

PRINCIPLES OF United for Justice with Peace

The individuals and organizations that comprise United for Justice with Peace express our profound grief for the thousands whose lives were cut short in the September 11, 2001 attacks, and extend our heartfelt condolences to all those who suffered losses in the event. We stand with people of conscience the world over in condemning unequivocally these horrendous acts of violence. In pursuit of a world without terror, the Coalition adopts the following principles:

As those who have long struggled for social justice on many fronts, we are united in our resolve to demand policies which support human needs, not weaponry, exploitation and repression. More strongly than ever, we believe that democratic processes provide the only way forward. As we strive to remake the world in the image of a beloved community of global citizens, no one of whom suffers from the scourge of terror, we stand with those everywhere who are committed to justice, peace and the recognition of human dignity for all.

These principles are a work in progress. As more communities and individuals join our work for justice with peace, our principles will continue to evolve.

Thanks for the post. Yet another self-righteous "writer" (or is it "intellectual"?) who never read the Constitution, who has done everything she could to gut it, and who knows nothing of history. E.g., Mussolini's fascists took over Italy in 1922, not during the 1930s; the case she was probably thinking of, Weimar Germany, was destroyed because the Nazis, the Communists, and other anti-republicans constantly attacked the republican form of goverment and its constitution, and gradually emptied ("aushoehlen") that constitution of meaning. Not unlike what Kingsolver & Co. have done to the U.S. Constitution.

BTW, I don't recall Kingsolver ever raising her voice on behalf of the thousands of teachers and professors who have been politically purged during the past 20 years for defending Constitutional principles, and for knowing and teaching real history, instead of her agitprop version (or on behalf of those who remained, who were forced to tow the party line).
