Linton Hall on the campus of Michigan State University has gone into "full lockdown" since a package containing a white powder was found in the mail room at about 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.
Employees in the building were stripped and sprayed down with a diluted bleach solution, then sent to a local hospital.
A captain of the university's Department of Police and Public Safety told a News47 reporter that a representative of the University's Office of Radiation, Chemical and Bilogical Safety found evidence that indicated that the package may have been sent by "an animal rights group."

From what I understand, the "other" white powder is chaep and everywhere...
I wouldn't be surprised if that white powder got contaminated with poison of some sort by a dealer...wouldn't surprise me at all.

treat this as a domestic terrorism attack and prosecute to the fullest degree.I agree with that. Animal rights activists would tear down all of civilization if given the chance.

Channel 10 news reported that the Dean of the College of Arts and Letters said that the letter was accidently sent (delivered?) to Linton. It was intended for VP Huggett, but he's in the Administration Building.

Nah; treat them like any foreign government that uses weapons of mass destruction and use our weapons of mass destruction on them (test-ban treaties be damned). The only concession that I would make is first drag them to Nevada so their nuking wouldn't affect anyone else.

Consider the possibility of a cocaine/anthrax lethal combo. Afgans trade opium for coaine, add anthrax, and then dump huge amounts of the drug cheaply in large metropolitan areas. Sounds like the makings of an urban legend.

So many people hate the animals rights people that they will they use them as an excuse to invoke hate against them. All they have to do is use their name on the return address or steal a box from the group....thenmail it out like it came from them. Kill two birds with one stone.
Down here in Florida...on the local news at 6...there were about 5 different bldgs shut down....around the area for suspicious boxes, security box in a bank exuding gases and suspicious envelopes....all within 10 miles of eachother. Probably all copycat false alarms shutting down the county. You hate a group? Just pretend your package came from them and put powder in it and mail it out.....then you can get people like the people in here to have an excuse to trash them and hate them even more.....GET IT? I thought people were innocent until proven guilty in this country.

They are dealt with in court as if they were innocent. Just because we haven't caught them yet doesn't make them innocent.
And besides, get real - nobody has to phony up stuff when it comes to the animal rights whackos. They'll do it on their own, unbidden.

At least the animal rights people never killed anyone like the direct assasinations of the anti-abortion people.

The animal rights terrorists have killed lots of people. At the moment there are only three deaths that can be credited to a right-to-lifer, and in one case the individual was insane.
As you well know, Earth First has begun burning down buildings. At least they have gone public - we all know they have been doing it for years. How many hundreds of people did they murder with their program arson?

Never heard of Earth First...are they animal rights?
I also don't believe any animal rights group are confirmed to kill anyone....the last I heard...they purposely avoid hurting people.

"And wouldn't it be just like the animal right whackos to perform copycat crimes during this time of national mourning and pain......" A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.
