It was about Cornel West and the title was his quote from a speech at Harvard, which used the "N" word as a verb. He said that the terrorist had "N"ed us all by making us feel like the average black person does.

I thought the post was fine, but it ain't my forum.

Regarding Cornel West, I think he is one of Jim Henson's most controversial and funny creations. I like the way his muppet hair flies around when he spouts vacuous observations masquerading as some sort of bizarre intellectualism.

Harvard is his Sesame Street. He's funny.

And just why should Jim take all the flack just because you feel the need to post a particular article here on this forum. Why? What was so great about one particular article that it HAS TO BE PRINTED ON THIS FORUM even though it uses a word in the title that will rile many people?

I feel sure you will be able to find other articles that won't cause Jim all the trouble that this one might. I don't think we will miss seeing that author's words of wisdom.

Har! Great imagry. West is like a caricature of himself, or an over-the-top character that might be played in a SNL skit.

PS to Mr. Holland: Buh-bye

I agree with you that there was nothing wrong with the article itself.

I also agree with Jimrob for pulling it.

Since FR is considered a radical conservative forum by the left it would only give them ammo for FR to have an article with the "N" word anywhere in it!

Tip-O-the-hat to ya Jimrob, good catch there!

He is NOT " funny ", and unfortunately influences a lot of brainless college kids.

Mr. West is a bigot, a racist, and so far left, it's a wonder he doesn't constanty fall over when he walks.

There's no need whatsoever for using such a word in an article. It shouldn't be posted. Makes the forum look bad, and the fight against that needs to be waged.

Jim has a right and a duty to protect the reputation of this board and he's right on this. Repeating the offensive language of others is no less offensive than using it oneself-- and just because someone is in the public arena doesn't make their statements worth repeating. This board and the people on it have a good deal of political influence, which will be destroyed if it gains a reputation (however undeserved) for racist ranting.

Him being a Harvard professor is all you need to know about "affirmative action."
