Of course there is always the possibility of an opportunist with an axe to grind who is taking advantage of a bad situation.

Oh, please. This is all happening practically in the terrorists' back yard. The level of denial on this forum is amazing.

The level of denial on this forum is amazing.

It's amazing how many people participate in these threads only to tell everyone how stupid they are for being concerned about this. As if we weren't at war with people we've suspected of cultivating the disease as a WMD for years. As if the terrorists didn't live in the area in question. As if anthrax spores are something that can be picked up at the local Wal Mart and dispersed by any lone nut with an axe to grind.

The level of ignorance/arrogance some of these people are willing to display in the interest of being "above the fray" is staggering.

What the F*** up, people. This is deadly serious stuff.

Mass hysteria and alertness are two different things. I am as scared as the next person, but I will not fall victim to mass hysteria.

I am not at all surprised a third person has tested positive for exposure, nor would I be surprised if she was symptomatic. If the anthrax was intentional (and we all agree it was) it stands to reason more than oone person has been exposed.

What denial? I have not denied there is an outbreak of anthrax. I have not denied that it was an intentional outbreak. Nor have I denied the fact that it could be a "terrorist" event. However, we have have more than our own share of criminal minds in this country. The tabloids have pissed off alot of people.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. Before jumping on the terrorist bandwagon exclusively, we should not rule out the chance of other suspects. If, by some admittidly small chance, this is one of our "own" (as in the Tylenol tragedy), we would be giving him a greater opportunity by NOT considering the possibility.
