let the SOB's know you have them on your mind!

There are many tones to take, of course. From a "concerned voter" to "angry citizen". Depends on who you're writing to, how you think they're apt to vote in the first place, and what words you think will be noticed by the staff who read these emails.

I usually had success getting letters to editors printed ( not too much a concern now thanks to the web ) if I kept it under 2 or 3 paragraphs, made one sharp point, and tossed in a little humor. I always found with letters to officials that being courteous, but forceful, seemed to get better responses.
