SHOPPING MALLS ON HALOWEEN ALERT
(NAME DELETED) ...was dating a guy from Afghanistan up until a month ago. She had a date with him around 9/6 and was stood up. She was understandably upset and went to his home to find it completely emptied.
On 9/10, she received a letter from her Afghani boyfriend explaining that he wished he could tell her why he had left and that he was sorry it had to be like that. The part worth mentioning is that he BEGGED her not to get on any commercial airlines on 9/11 and to not to go any malls on Halloween.
As soon as everything happened on the 11th, she called the FBI and has since turned over the letter.
I may be wrong, and I hope I am. However, with one of his warnings being correct and devastating, I'm not willing to take the chance on the second and wanted to make sure that people I cared about had the same information that I did.
FReepers... please refrain from the pattern of flames and nay-saying justifiably generated in historic response to such unsubstantiated postings as this one.
I post this not because I am sure it is valid, but because if it is valid, we all deserve a chance to hear it now. It comes from a dear friend and colleague whom I trust completely. It wont hurt anyone if they stay out of shopping malls on Halloween, and this turns out to be incorrect.
However, the converse cannot be said, and hence I post this just for an FYI.

don't know No. 2 Ted Nugent.

From left to right, please identify the two people in the middle. I have begun calling the guy on the left Jack Boxx because he pops up everywhere, and I call the guy on the right Osama bin Offal because that is what he is.

Give me a break... you all are acting a bit silly.. if this is just a rumor.. shame on the lady.. but if this is true, shame on us... I am not going to have some crazy, goofy men (note there are no women) mess up my life... but I do believe I will be careful.. my children will not be taking candy from anyone I do not know personally.. but then, they have not taken candy from an unknown for years... If you remember (I am old!) when I was a youngster, some nut put razor blades in apples for Halloween... so let us just keep our way of life with a little caution and thank people for sharing their knowledge and ideas... Blessings to you all!!! betti

Only from your mind, Maxwell!
Don't you have a scary story for us?
Gargantua, take this all with a grain of salt. I had no idea this had been on the Internet either. I think we're all a whole lot anxious from 9/11 and sick of the stupid rumours flying about. That's why you're getting nailed in here.
I get to fly American Airlines on Halloween night. . . but no terrorist is going to scare me away from the flight.

And for this Halloween, I have a strange feeling that nobody should go trick-or-treating wearing an arab headress and a gasmask! LOL

Yes, they are crowded -- with those decadent American procrastinators doing their last-minute shopping before the traditional gift exchanges which brighten the hearts of everyone at this wonderful season of the year.
OBL and Co. has truly done its homework.......

Hmmmmmm... Scary story... How about a funereal one?
A young preacher was contacted by the local funeral director to hold a grave-side committal service at a small local cemetery for someone with no family or friends. The preacher started early but quickly got himself lost, making several wrong turns. He arrived a half-hour late, the hearse was nowhere in sight, and the workmen were eating lunch.
The pastor went to the open grave and found the vault lid already in place. Taking out his book, he read the service.
As he was returning to his car, he overheard one of the workmen say: "Think we should tell him it's a septic tank?"

It's no laughing matter. Only thanx to Jack Chick do we know just how dangerous Halloween is. Thank you, Jack Chick, for your thoroughly researched
BOO treatise exposing the true nature of Halloween. It is works like this that have brought Jack Chick to the forefront of our thoughtful theologians.

Yeah, well, they laughed at Poncho Kasputtlye, too.
They told him his foot powered cast iron helicopter would never fly.
