Clinton's "Defining Moment" in Presidential History is Now Set in Stone (And It Aint Pretty!)

On Sunday, the bombs finally started flying in retaliation for the terrorist attacks on the United States. What a relief. Almost a month had gone by, and some of us had started to wonder whether all this coalition building was going to become an end in itself, a grand edifice constructed by the State Department as a monument to its diplomatic skills. In the event, it was the United States and our trusty ally Great Britain who unleashed the strikes on military and terrorist targets in Afghanistan, to general applause around the world. The Bush administration warns that there may be strikes against other countries as well. After years of watching terrorists elude justice, it is grand to see a president willing to fight back. Since Sept. 11, we have watched Mr. Bush grow in stature day by day, a man who knows his destiny. If he is successful in the war against terrorism, Mr. Bush will actually be leaving a real, historic legacy when he departs the White House.

This article pretty much says it all:

After years of watching terrorists elude justice, it is grand to see a president willing to fight back. Since Sept. 11, we have watched Mr. Bush grow in stature day by day, a man who knows his destiny. If he is successful in the war against terrorism, Mr. Bush will actually be leaving a real, historic legacy when he departs the White House.

Ordinary Americans, however, polled about their president's decision have been overwhelmingly supportive. They may know something the pundits forget — that we would have been in an almighty pickle had Bill Clinton or Al Gore been in the White House during this crisis.

For one thing, President Clinton did have a defining moment — it was called impeachment.

The truth hurts don't it?!

You'd think the Bent-One would try to just fade away into the woodwork the way Jimmy Carter did to rehabilitate his image. But, of course, that's not in his nature to do that, so I guess we're stuck with the lug.

...when the terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in 1993, failing to bring it down, Mr. Clinton warned against "overreacting" and lamented the fact that "somebody did something very stupid" (in an interview with MTV). Following the Khobar Towers bombing in 1996, which cost 16 U.S. servicemen their lives, Mr. Clinton did nothing. When U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Nairobi were attacked in 1998, killing 263 persons, Mr. Clinton launched an ineffective missile raid on Afghanistan, hitting empty terrorist camps, a response which his own advisers now publicly acknowledge was totally inadequate.

Glad to see a national newspaper, albeit a conservative one, finally bring this to the forefront. Now here's hoping the Sunday talk shows start repeating it, the cable news networks focus on Clinton's dismal failure, and finally, the REPUBLICAN PARTY grow a pair of b***s and point out the truth: the leadership of the Democratic Party is self-centered, anti-Constitutional and weak.

Get your hands on a copy of Michael Macoby's, "The Gamesman" and you will get a good idea as to why Mr. Clinton will not just go away.

Impeachment was Clinton's defining moment and the MOST MEMORABLE words uttered during his presidency were, "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman....Miss Lewinsky."

He spent most of the service itself with his mouth open, looking halfway comatose

That's NOT what he looked like he was doing in this one!

He looks like his WISHES it was him!

Coalition building/nation building ... I fail to see the dif. You just watch how fast all this coalition building devolves into nation building ASAP. Hells Bells ... if your gonna nation build do it the old fashion way. There MUST be some old CIA guys around that still know how it's done.

Write your congress critters. Demand that all non citizen Muslims be deported NOW. This will make the FBI's job easier in watching the remaining ones. They (the 'citizen' Moslems) may have to go too however.

If my 'culturist' sentiments bother you .... ask yourself this: "Was that fat lady leafing through the Natl. Enquirer in the line in front of me today sending anthrax spoors into the air around me?"

Hey Friend,

Please forgive the question, but being in Switzerland, I don't get all the news.

Did Carter really call Arab Leaders urging them not to join the coalition????

Equally telling is Hillary's failure to acknowledge the President's return to his seat. Period.

"The modern gamesman is best defined as a person who loves change and wants to influence its course. He likes to take calculated risks and is fascinated by technique and new methods. He sees a developing project, human relations, and his own career in terms of options and possibilities, as if they were a game."

I loathe the America-haters and evil-doers...how about this...In Lexington , KY., Mayor Pam Miller had the flag removed from in front of the City Hall, after it had proudly flown there , daily, since 24 Sept. 2000. The Kentucky Vietnam Memorial is the only Vietmam Memorial, in the nation, where the POW/MIA Flag does not fly daily. When we asked Mayor Miller why the flag was taken down she stated that some people had complained and the flag was staying down. She refused to tell us who complained and why. Shealso said she didn't care how many e-mails, phone calls or letters she received it would stay down, because she was not running for re-election and didn't care.

"That depends on what the meaning of is, is"
Doesn't matter he is finally dead meat for the history books. Did you happen to hear all the reports yesterday from the Clinton gang. "The Clinton administration stopped 15 terrorists attacks". LMAO They are desperate to uphold him. and it just isn't working!

Mr. Bush reportedly rejected out of hand the set of initial military plans presented to him by the Joint Chiefs of Staff for more limited cruise missile attacks on half a dozen terrorist camps in Afghanistan. These were plans drawn up by the Clinton administration. Laughably, the code name was "Infinite Resolve."

Hmm. This is a VERY different reason for changing the name of the operation than the one given us by the ever-lying news media. No doubt it was hatched up by that all-star team of idiots and war criminals, clinton, albright, cohen, and shelton (still regretably in office).

No wonder Bush ordered a name change.

Or going, apparently. In the pictures I see, she doesn't look at him at all!

And get a look at that look on Chelsea's face. Any doubt that the three of them think they should be in charge forever?
