The Liberals cant stand the fact that they have been upstaged twice in their desire to tell each other how great they are. Now it's being reported that they want to make a third attempt to air the Freakin Emmys, this time at a Military Base. Lets do all we can to stop these Self Centered Jerks. As a Taxpayer and a Military Vet. I say NO...

I say,fine...they can *entertain* us from Camp Bondsteel, Bosnia.
At a military base? You gotta be kidding me. Who are they afraid of? The poor and downtrodden overseas proletariat? Shouldn't they know that Hollyweird is their friend?

I agree with Mystery Ak, except they should plan the show in a Middle East Hot Spot

If Hollywood wants onto a military base, it's only to gain information to send to the enemy...
No way do these clowns deserve special protection.

I suppose in their own, perverted and twisted logic, these people will convince themselves that holding the awards at a Military Base is
actually entertaining our Troops.

I am again amazed at the conciet and greed of these people. They truly think they are IMPORTANT to America! Incredible.

If they do it as entertainment for the troops, let the troops decide whether they WANT to attend or not. It will be interesting to see how big the audience is.
I think this is a stupid idea, really. These are the people who are the most Un-American among us. The heart of Communism in this country. Now, they are afraid of a little terrorism? What do they think they've been sponsoring and promoting all these years, candy distribution in third world countries? Idiots. We don't need no freaking Emmy show.

Wheres the barf alert?
No way that we should help fund the self-agrandizing Emmy awards or let these pervs prance around on a Military base in times of war.
I hope Bush speaks-up about this foolishness & and snuffs it out right away.
The bottom line is these cowards are afraid that the awards event is a target since fundie Islam is againist the tv-film industry.

These goofs can contribute millions of dollars to leftist extremist (redundancy?) groups, why can't they hire their own security guards?

They truly think they are IMPORTANT to America! Incredible.
The morons think they are the natural heirs to the "hero worship" started in the early years of the film industry, and yes how ironic they of the left are quick to condemn the present war and at the same time demand protection of the Military.
This is the theather of the absurd.

I would agree, provided only those who have received nominations are allowed to attend, along with any troops who so chose. How big would the production be - 200 people?

Live target training - excellent

I saw this scroll across the tv screen. An outrage imho.
Hollywood can build a military set on a back lot and broadcast from there.

What will happen, if this is allowed: each company on the base will be given an alloted number of seats. A smart 1stSgt will ask, "Are these seats for me to give away, or do I have to fill them?"
In this PC enviroment you can guess the answer. Then in front of a packed house, Hollyweird thinks the military loves them!

I was just about to suggest that exact thing, but you beat me to it. I'd invite them here to Cp Comanche, Bosnia; but it's too quiet here right now. They deserve the full effect.

What a bunch of cheap cowards! They want our soldiers to protect them while they hand each other a bunch of foolish awards and make anti-war speeches! This reminds me of the time when we bombed Quadaffi and Sylvester Stallone refused to fly to the Cannes Film Festival because he was worried about terrorists.
I think base personnel are a little busy for such foolishness. At least they should be.
Increased security at all bases means every person, every vehicle is suspect. Imagine the added load of all those stars, hangers-on, journalists, TV technicians, roadies...
OTOH, when was the last time an enlisted grunt got to strip-search a star?
