You beat the British in 1776, but the Canadians, with a little help from the British, beat your asses in 1812.
Let's let bygones be bygones, and we will work together to beat Has-Been Laden's ass. We're sending some help, not that you'll need it, but fighting amongst ourselves is rather useless at this point.

I agree with you guys. At the Khobar Towers bombing, a number of troops sleeping at the time were knocked senseless by the blast. They cut their feet up pretty bad before they realized they were walking on broken glass from the blown-out windows, and got purple hearts. I don't know if I would have worn a purple heart for that, but don't have a problem with those who do. What did make me angry was REMFs at USAFE headquarters who received the Bronze Star after the Kosovo war. Although there was a loophole in the reg that allowed for it, it should be reserved for bravery in combat. Shameful.

Sounds like he may still be angry at the shabby treatment a lot of the Vietnam Vets got back in the 60's 70's.
It's his medal, his property. If he does this he may regret it latter on. He could wind up missing that medal.
