OK, can we get scared now? How else can this spore be delivered? If paper is a medium, what about in the morning newspapers??? How hard is it to get a newspaper delivery job? You could wipe out a whole neighborhood like that! Somebody tell me that's not possible, please!

doesn't a Clintonite run these things? How long before the left is blaming Republicans?
If they wipe out all 500 employee's.... will we have to send a thank-you card? (kidding)

Just another coincidence? Where is the mid-eastern intern that worked at the Sun? I haven't heard if the FBI has located him.

Is this a hoax? I can't find anything about this on the Radio Station's Web site. Is there a link to this story? The AP link above is to the old Florida case.

The state government was told that the Virginia victim had either been an employee of or a contractor for The Sun, Marcus said. I think its safe to conclude that we now know why the terrorist were inquiring about crop dusters. They had anthrax and were looking for a way to distribute it. Perhaps they tried several times to distribute the spores in other various ways and then concluded that a crop dusting plane might achieve better dispersal. We should probably assume that this building had anthrax placed into the ventilation system. Everyone in the building was exposed, propbably only a few or small percentage will exhibit symptoms. They probably put the anthrax in the building just before 9/11/01. This would be an incubation period of 3 to 4 weeks. We should probably also assume that they may have tried other dispersal methods before they committed suicide. Now the FBI needs to come clean and let us know if any of the suicide terrorist had traces of anthrax anywhere in their residence. We need to know if the anthrax terrorist are dead or are still out there experimenting with dispersal methods.
Like I said a couple of weeks ago, I would have dropped a tac nuke on every terorist camp within Afghanistan the wednesday after the WTC and Pentagon attack. We need to give these terrorist the fear of god or at least something very very powerful. They are using weapons of mass destruction on us. Death toll currently over 5,000.

FReepers need to know good epidemic hygene practices. Live them and teach them. Ask your grandmothers at the least. Our half century of medical miracles has lulled us into a high risk ignorance of practical public health.
We are at total war and cannot wait for fatal lessons on our homeland battlefield.
This is a war of annihilation. Those SOBs want to kill your family and everyone you know.

That's what the FBI meant when they said there was a 100% of another terror attack, they knew people had already been infected with Anthrax, and that is was only a matter of time before they started showing symptoms! (That's my paranoid conspiracy
theory, do you like it? I don't really believe it, but it's a good theory!)

I could not find this on AP... Not saying it isn't there though. The site is hard to work.

The doctor in charge of Florida's Health Dept. stated that two employees of the Sun could not be contacted for testing -- no one knew where they were -- and he asked for assistance from the public for their whereabouts. Possibly, this man in VA, who works for the Sun, could be one of the two missing employees.

Well it's not looking good for those of us who were doubters as the Anthrax was found in the co-worker's nose. It's amazing what a days new info can bring.
At least we still have the 'symbol' element with "American Media" (not unlike American Airlines and United).

FYI:
from: ANTHRAX APPROVED BY FDA
To be effective, experts said, Cipro would have to be taken by exposed patients before symptoms appear. Once the fever, chills, rash and respiratory congestion start, there is little than can be done, researchers said. This means that once it is known there has been a release of anthrax spores, people will, within hours, have to take an antibiotic, the experts said.
from: FDA & Cipro's Approval for Inhalation Anthrax
Because of concerns about long-term safety, including effects on cartilage, until now, Cipro was not approved for any indication in the pediatric population. However, because inhalational anthrax is lethal, the risk-benefit assessment indicates that use of Cipro for this indication in pediatric patients is appropriate. Studies are currently under way to evaluate long-term safety, including effects on cartilage, in pediatric patients.
The recommended adult dose of Cipro® for post-exposure inhalational anthrax is 500 milligrams given orally twice a day. The recommended pediatric dose of Cipro® for post-exposure inhalational anthrax is 15 mg/kg given orally twice a day. The adult intravenous dose is 400 mg twice a day; the pediatric intravenous dose is 10 mg/kg twice a day. Treatment with ciprofloxacin should begin as soon as possible after exposure. The Drug should be administered for a total of 60 days
As a parent, and as I see fellow FReepers talking about stockpiling Cipro, thought this was important seeing how you can now buy it on the internet without a prescription.
Stay safe,
Mrs Kus
