It's the talk of the town...
I was walking with my three Schnauzer pups in the Forest Preserve nearby (I live northwest of O'Hare...about 15 miles...and the dawgs jumped about two feet in the air and came runnin' back to me after an extremely loud double-sonic-boom. Must have happened after they pulled up and away from the airport after bringing the airliner in. Report is it was a young mentally challenged passenger who banged on the cockpit door and was yelling...as passengers subdued him. The Sonic Booms were unique...and the phone lines were loaded, all the way up to the Wisconsin Line.

"I had no idea what I was supposed to do with six kids," she said, her voice shaking. Turn them over to someone who does.

You could have read about it here half an hour ago... Yea, drudge is kinda of passe ever since the debacle of the November 2000 election...FR is a much better shource of breaking news.

This could very well have been an autistic or similarly disabled young man who had no control over himself - and whose caretakers should not take on a plane anymore. Can't assume automatically that he's some kind of evil lunatic.

"Drudge is as good as his sources"
mmmmmm don't get me wrong, I like Drudge
But I'm still upset with his election night stunt.
He was the 1st to "break" the VNS false poll, (remember how he bragged he would release VNS poll 1st)
then per O'Reilly Fox News picked it up from him and Fox was 1st to break on national TV.
They both broke the story before ALL polls closed in Florida and
countless thousands nationwide never voted for President Bush because they heard Gore had won.

I agree with you about Drudge. He seems to be napping a lot, and for extended periods. I do still admire him, and he sure gets a truckload of hits every day. I just wish he would focus on digging a few REALLY juicy stories instead of a lot of ephemeral headlines.

Thanks for posting the thread! I don't care if the story was posted before. All of the jerks who gave you a hard time for posting this need to get a life... I suspect that most of them are disrupters anyway trying to make Freepers look bad!

"I'll go get my hair done and pretend I'm a sheeple." I did that today, (sheeple mode) and went to the mall shopping (helping out that economy)....
it does do wonders for your nerves, and as you look around at this beautiful, rich and wonderful country....you are truely reminded that BinLardarse and his ilk are nothing but sewer rats-they've got to be kidding taking us on and they will NEVER WIN!
I feel much better now!

I just want to stick up for Drudge. His greatest claim to fame isn't his speed on posting; it's a few "insider" facts that the regular media simply would have ignored. He didn't. Also, I definitely use his links.
But you are absolutely right, that FR is about the fastest posting site that I've come across. And I love the fact that the site disciplines itself for accuracy and sources. (I know from experience what happens if ones source is flawed)

When you get an airline seat on a row with an emergency escape hatch, you are asked if you are physically able and willing to manage the hatch and assist passengers getting out of the plane. If you demur, then you are offered alternate seating.
In the future, passengers sitting in aisle seats in the first three rows should be asked if they are physically able and willing to defend the cockpit!

I think I'll go get my hair done and pretend I'm a sheeple. Have you ever noticed how happy and well-rested (no late nights up on Free Republic) really simple, dumb sheeple seem to be? I think maybe that's what I want to be in my next life....those women usually get the really wealthy husbands anyway.

This could very well have been an autistic or similarly disabled young man who had no control over himself - and whose caretakers should not take on a plane anymore. Can't assume automatically that he's some kind of evil lunatic.Of course.
But we will find out about the finer nuances of the scenario AFTER my bootheel has thoroughly stomped his face. Too much risk for nicey-nicey. Simple cause-and-effect: You rush the cockpit? I rush you.
