I'm not sure I agree with that. Look at his photos and he looks both weak AND sick. He has some kind of health problem he has been hiding for years,and it's the reason he never let his physical be make public.

I'm having second thoughts about this. Something doesn't quite ring true.

Today his voice sounds completely different than it did during his last show last week. I know he said that some electronic processing is now being used, but the change in his voice over the last months has been more than just pitch. Inflection, attitude, content, everything.

I must wonder why they did not add this electronic processing sooner? And why did Rush just sign a new contract? I'm probably competely wrong, but something isn't right here. He did not seem to be having any difficulty taking calls even last week.

I wonder if he's completely fried and is looking for a way out? Sounds crazy, I know. But truth-telling is not one of Rush's fortes.

With all due respect, those people didn't lie, and Rush did. He said he was taking vacations, and he hid the fact that he was seeing doctors. He lied. Whatever his motive -- pride, independence, whatever -- he apparently held that value above the bond of trust with his audience. He lied.

And all those people who insisted that Rush sounded 'just fine' are now proven to be victims of wishful thinking and self-delusion.

I didn't make Rush deaf. My only crime is that I stopped listening to him. I hope that they find a cure. With all his money, perhaps he could fund research.
