Listening to Rush today, his voice sounds in a little higher register than in previous weeks and months. Anyone else notice?

He says he could do the radio show without taking any phone calls. He's been rehearsing ways to conduct the program without phone calls and still meet audience expectations...

I hope those who were so full of acrimony toward Rush the man have the good sense to feel some shame.

I don't know Rush except as a voice on the radio, but I am extremely sad about this situation. The man obviously took great pleasure from his ability to hear through life. Yet, it seems that he will accept whatever G-d hands to him with an aplomb that I could only wish I could have.

G-d bless you, Rush.

I feel now knowing Rush is suffering. He has become such an important of my daily routine. I work much better with his voice on the radio than any other. I hope to God a miracle happens and his hearing is restored.

He says the cause is not genetic and he won't disclose what the theory is yet. He's been going to doctors all summer long - not playing golf or taking vacations.

In the past ten days his hearing loss has deteriorated so much that he can't hear a single thing if he takes out the hearing aids. He cannot hear enough to conduct conversations.

We gotta pray for him...

Agree with you ArGee....this poor man.....deafness runs in my family...and this HAS to be just devastating to Rush. What a damn shame.....wonder if brain tumor has been ruled out....surely it has. Man o Man.......
