Rush Limbaugh show ^ | bosco

Listening to Rush today, his voice sounds in a little higher register than in previous weeks and months. Anyone else notice?

You Rush bashers are full of what makes the grass grow green and it AIN'T fertilizer. Get a life all of you and leave Rush and his voice alone. Here we are in a war at home and abroad and all you can do is bash Rush!

It sounds most definitely like some kind of compression or "speed up." The pace is just a little too fast.

Gosh I miss those guys. Their show is one of the things I miss about WLS. Now if they would just go back to the web broadcast.

I just got an email that said their listen-live thing was back on the website.

If I were him, and I were having voice problems, I'd be very, very worried. Sam Wyche had surgery on his throat and he could barely talk. He was an NFL announcer and former head coach. It's possible it is psychosomatic and he's seeing a therapist. Actually, moreso than a musician, a broadcaster has to have an appealing or unique voice. There's no way around it. No media businessman would hire someone who could not speak clearly.

OK, it would be like Buddy Rich losing an arm.

Or Britney Spears losing a boob?

I just about couldn't stand to listen to his faked lower voice.

You're not the only one.

I wonder if he's been diagnosed with the type of prostate cancer which is aggravated by testosterone and for which the most effective treatment is castration. After a while, a lack of testosterone could result in a change of secondary sex characteristics including vocal pitch.

"Or Britney Spears losing a boob?"

No comparison to Rich!

5 dollars worth of Silicon and a good plastic surgeon and she is back in biz!

Besides did ya think those were real in the first place?

Can someone send me a different link to his show. The station out of Georgia keeps blacking out on me and into special reports.

Well, I remember as a very young kid, Rush Limbaugh was a DJ on one of our local stations (KQV - 1410 kc) here in Pittsburgh. His voice does sound a little higher, sort of like he did during the early 1970's when he was here. Here is a site that has a 1974 clip from KQV:

There is another clip there too.
