If for ANY reason Rush might be away for 30 days...

Posted on 10/08/2001 7:45:42 AM PDT by Tumbleweed_Connection

If for any reason Rush might be out for maybe 30 days, if given a choice, who would you select as the four week replacement?

We have heard many different people, from Matthews to Williams. What does the person you selected have to offer over and above the other candidates? And how would Rush be missed?

I have heard Ann in person and it was a real delight. No one interrupted her. If someone like Ann can hold her own in the midst of liberal smartypants and girly-boys, she'd be fun to listen to UNCENSORED.

My choices Tony Snow or Walter Williams,

It's kinda funny that all these conservatives are fans of libertarians like Snow and Williams on radio but not on Freerepublic.

"You mean you still listen to the wind bag? Have his vocal chords recovered?"

does he have a medical/physical problem?
he has been sounding more "pious/pompous" lately

Walter Williamscould replace him "forever"...
Rush should go play golf n smoke cigars, he's done his job

I'd say Sean Hannity, although he may not be able to fill-in for Rush now that his show is syndicated. If not Hannity, then Tony Snow or Walter Williams would be great.

I've got Rush on right now and honestly, if I didn't know it was him, I wouldn't recognize him by his voice. This is the worst I've heard him.

There is a radio guy in Corpus Christi, Tx. on in the afternoons that would be perfect. Eric Von Wade. He is great to listen to.

While I agree with Eric on most things, I can not listen to him anymore. He must use the phrase "yuh know" a least 2 or three times a minute. I counted him one day and he said "yuh know" 17 times in a 5 min period. He is suppose to be a professional yet his grammer and use of the English language is terrible. His message is masked by his inept language and grammer, ya know.

"Rush can be good but mostly these days I just find him tiresome...takes too long to get the show started, too much golf/football, too much name-dropping, too removed from the reality of most people's lives..."

Maybe you should look at your attachment to being tired...golf, football and talking about people you come in contact with might not be reality for you...many of us do enjoy these things!

Whining about something you have no control over is a waste of time...

Rush is the best at what he does!
