Why would we expect support from the French? They are a disaster militarily, and have been since the dawn of the 20th century. That said, perhaps it is true that their individual soldiers and units are good, however, the leadership is a collective cluster f*#@. My favorite: "For Sale: French rifle. Never fired. Dropped once. Still has white hankie tied around mint bayonet."
