Previous article : Second Anthrax case in FL. CDC, FBI on scene. Bush notified
Second positive test for anthrax found.
Just spoke with the NEWS desk at WPEC NEWS 12 newsdesk ...
here is what they know. They HAVE CONFIRMED that the second individual has TESTED POSITIVE for Anthrax in a nasal swab test so that he has been exposed.
He is being treated with antibiotics
They are testing the building.
The number at the office is 1-800-310-WPEC. You can confirm it yourself by pressing option 2 at the prompt.
We may be fighting more than the Afghani terrorists now.
Looks like someone pulled it. God only knows why.
Excellent point about it perhaps being a "test shot". Or maybe some sort of sadistic "bequeathal ceremony". The fact that the office is the National Enquirer also plays up the "genuine terrorist involvement" theory.
Although I find many of the bizarre incidents of late suspicious (Greyhound bus, et al), I try to keep my mind from jumping to conclusions too fast.
However, as this is shaping up, it looks very grim. I wish our troops God Speed and haste, and I wish the FBI, CIA, NSA and Echelon the same to root these sick bastards out.
Why not? I would assume they would have to inhale once or twice while visiting.
For example, take the harmless powder in the envelope in Hialeah. Probably was just a sick prankster, but the fact that they waited a day before calling the police and going to the hospital makes me a bit suspicious(though perhaps the amount of powder was so tiny that the recipient thought it maybe just dust from shipment). Say hypothetically that this family was in trouble with unsavory characters, perhaps involved in drug running. So the criminals get even by sending this hoax, receiver sweats a night thinking either he dies of poison, or he goes to the hospital and faces scrutiny that may reveal his drug running. (Again, just giving a hypothetical to make my point)
Now lets go to the Enquirer(are we sure it was in this building, I thought the guy worked for the Sun? Same owner?). Despite sharing the same lawyer(Kendall) with $3 Bill, the Enquirer has made life difficult for several high profile Dems. Now at first glance one would think it foolish to attempt such skullduggery when all the power of the FBI/CIA/Elliot Ness will descend, yet if a shadowy group has successfully operated without hindrance all these years, the boldness fits the pattern, and certainly sends the message to others to clam up, else they to face the wrath of the DNC goonsquad.
Not saying I buy all this, but something to consider. As I've told my Dem friends all along(many of whom are starting to see the light), don't rule anything out.
Late here so maybe others could look too...it was breaking news around midnight. Should be on their website soon: http://www.gopbi.com/partners/news12/
First we nuke Afghanistan, then we nuke the Clintons.....
;-)
I can't give you a cite, but I saw an article in the last day or two in which a law-enforcement official came to that conclusion, on the basis of the fact that there were no existing leads on majority of the 9/11 hijackers dating from before the attack. In other words, most of the terrorists were in the country legally, and kept their noses clean while here, didn't have any identifiable interactions with militant groups, etc. Given the nature of their mission, that would be the way to do it, wouldn't it? Tell them what to do, give them the right papers, tell them to stay out of trouble, just execute the mission at the pre-ordained time, or in response to anonymous messages on the Internet. It's not rocket science.
