Thanks for the map. Not being familiar with the area, but seeing what else is on this map
makes me wonder if research industrial complexes could be targets as well. Note the proximity
of IBM Industrial Comples and University Park.
Is it time for me to put on my TFH?
To: Fulbright
Sorry, but you are forgetting that the terrorists lived practically next door. These people did not go to the trouble of organizing the destruction of the WTC towers and the attempted destruction of the White House and Capitol only to follow up with an assault on their primary target, the Boca Raton offices of the National Enquirer. This was a test.

Apologies...

I know it's late & I don't mean to quibble... but if you are referring to Anthrax,
the disease is not caused by a "virus".

Forget the tin foil hat. I think it's time for the tin foil hazmat suit.

Container found in pipe bomb home being tested for anthrax
Wednesday, September 13, 2000 Associated Press
PALM BAY An investigation into a pipe bomb at a residence Tuesday also turned up a suspicious vial which may contain the deadly bacteria anthrax. The container was found inside an otherwise empty refrigerator in the kitchen of a home where deputies had been called to disarm the bomb. Palm Bay officers discovered the pipe bomb sitting in open view on the dining room table. It contained the destructive power of about 1/4 pound of dynamite.
While searching the home for other bombs, Sheriff's Cpl. J.R. Hansen opened the refrigerator and found the 5-inch-tall, 3-inch wide clear plastic jar. A medical-type label neatly hand lettered read, "Bacillus Anthracis." Officers put on protective gear and removed the container. They sealed it and then placed it inside a larger metal container which was in turn heat-sealed in another layer of plastic. The container was being stored at an undisclosed location until it can be tested to determine whether it actually contains anthrax. Anthrax can be deadly to humans and can be used as a biological weapon.
Note this was about a year ago! No followup that I can find. Palm Bay is 100+ miles north on 95.

...in the textbook scenario, the terrorists (immunized against anthrax) are just visitors wandering through the building... We already know that these bastards are more than willing to die for the cause. They could have performed as you described, and then simply curled up and died somewhere. I doubt they are concerned with immunizations.
After all, they want their 72 virgins. (Or was it 42? Whatever.)
Bastards.

Think about it for a second...
If the paper had been infected, the people who handled the paper would be sick and it's been 11 days since the man started showing symptoms. That sounds to me like if there are spores in the building, he is the most likely source, not some biological attack. This guy was a photographer -- he worked totally away from the presses even if those presses are in the same building.
It really seems to me like people here are flying off the handle about this. We all need to get a grip. Yes, the proper authorities do need to track this down, but until we actually know something, catastrophizing -- and especially repeating these stories -- is irresponsible at best.

Last night, each one of the events you mentioned was posted. Reading them one, by one, it didn't seem like any individual one was a blatant terrorist attack. However, when you turned the tv on and listened to the news, every story reported ended with, this is unrelated to the recent terrorist attacks. Since I never believe anything the news commentators say, I started thinking.....

We already know that these bastards are more than willing to die for the cause. We also know that they are willing to kill hundreds of thousands of people at one go, not just a token few dozen to make a point. And we know that they wanted to get their hands on crop dusters.
Now you do the math.

I don't know about the printing presses. It doesn't seem like that type of area, but you're right. Imagine having it distributed via the paper itself. Is that possible? I don't have to ask. The Sun Sentinel and Palm Beach post aren't too far. Perhaps they should check there in Particular. I'm praying the other buildings show negative for the presence of the virus. Hell, this is my backyard...
IF... the printing presses are there... then it could have came in on any material coming into the plant and would have spread fast throughout the building.
I worked for a huge printing company and the offices where also part of the building.
If they are saying that 300 people worked there, then I am thinking that the presses are also located within the building. Normally the printing presses would be on site. Do you know if the building has loading docks and large garage doors? If it does then the presses are there?

"The water temp that the air blows across is about 44-50 degrees. It's not a good incubator." They wouldn't be incubating it, they'd only have to deliver it. They're delivering dormant spores that incubate in the victims. This is not Legionaire's Disease.

This makes me wonder about heating systems in northern stated. Temperatures dipped below freezing for the first time here tonight.

You are being ridiculous, I'm afraid. They found anthrax spores in the air in that building. This is all happening a few miles from where the 9/11 terrorists lived. We know the terrorists wanted crop-dusters, which means that they wanted a means of delivering either chemical or biological weapons--there is no other explanation. We know that these people would not stop at killing hundreds of thousands of Americans, if they had the means to do it. We know that they had nothing to live for, because they were already commited to die.
Get real. We're not in Kansas any more.

There have been several cases over the last few years in Florida, where packages, signs, envelopes, etc. were labeled "Contains anthrax". They could have been tests, but the papers reported they were all hoaxes.
Are you thinking they might put the spores in the papers?
To: d4now
Newsmax has a
report on it now. Nothing informative, unfortunately.
