It is a war against terrorism, but most importantly against the Islamic Fundamentalists movement and the dictatorship regimes that sponsor terrorism. You are obviously not keeping up with the major complaints against the U.S. The Arabic countries have been and will begin to with greater pressure, make the demand we, the U.S., relinquish our support to Israel. Their support in our campaign to stamp out terrorism is their barganing chip and they are going to use it. Support "given" to us by Mid-Eastern countries will be given to us with a very heavy price. Kind of a "damned if you do and damned if you don't" situtation.
