IT WAS ANOTHER NUN AND NOT SISTER LUCIA WHO REQUESTED A SPECIAL DAY OF PRAYER
@Spirit Daily
A source in Coimbra, Portugal, at the convent where Fatima seer Lucia dos Santos resides, has told Spirit Daily that the idea for a vigil prayer last week did not originate because of a new revelation given to Sister Lucia and was not even the seer's original idea. It started with another nun.
"What happened was that Mother Maria do Pilar, some years ago, had an intuition that we could save the world with the blessed Rosary," says our source. "Mother Maria is the founder of the movement of the blessed Rosary. It's a movement of priests, nuns, and laity. Now, Mother Maria do Pilar is in Fatima. When she first came and was in the Apparitions Chapel she remembered that the Blessed Virgin appeared with the brown Scapular. She associated the Rosary with the Scapular. She talked with Sister Lucia about this and Sister Lucia agreed. We can't separate the Scapular from the Rosary. In the Carmel order we are celebrating 750 years of the brown Scapular that was given to Saint Simon Stock by the Blessed Virgin, the Mother of Carmel. For us a blessed year. A year full of grace. It's because of the 750 years and because of the fact that the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared with the Scapular, as Our Lady of Carmel, that Mother Maria do Pilar with the sympathy of Sister Lucia of the Immaculate Heart of Mary invited all Carmelites for the prayer vigil on October 7."
Rumors had swept the world that Sister Lucia had received a new revelation urging a prayer vigil that day in order to stem off a coming "bloodbath."
You are a stereotypical anti-Catholic bigot, it would appear...
Perhaps you would like an opportunity to explain the enormous disconnect between your man made catechism and the Bible, none of your little friends seems up to the task.
EXODUS 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
EXODUS 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;

The movement toward the image does not terminate in it as image, but tends toward that whose image it is.
Where in the Holy Bible did Jesus or any of the Apostles teach anyone to "venerate" idols, images or whatever term you prefer?
What are you whining about? Was there a question hidden somewhere among your childish remarks?
You are clearly a disruptor not worthy of any more time than you have already robbed from us. Now be a good little drone and go away.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
You have the opportunity to promote your views and yet all you little catholics want to do is whine and feign indignation.
You are clearly a disruptor not worthy of any more time than you have already robbed from us. Now be a good little drone and go away.
Thank you for AGAIN displaying how thin and unsupportable your cults' dogma is.
The "tradition" you bleat about was created by misguided humans who said to themselves "What God has done is ok, but we will improve upon Gods' work and get to God OUR way not His."
Matthew 15:1 Some Pharisees and teachers of religious law now arrived from Jerusalem to interview Jesus.
Matthew 15:2 Why do your disciples disobey our age-old traditions? they demanded. They ignore our tradition of ceremonial hand washing before they eat.
Matthew 15:3 Jesus replied, And why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?
Matthew 15:4 For instance, God says, Honor your father and mother, and Anyone who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.
Matthew 15:5 But you say, You dont need to honor your parents by caring for their needs if you give the money to God instead.
Matthew 15:6 And so, by your own tradition, you nullify the direct commandment of God.
Matthew 15:7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was prophesying about you when he said,
Matthew 15:8 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far away.
Matthew 15:9 Their worship is a farce, for they replace Gods commands with their own man-made teachings.
Matthew 15:10 Then Jesus called to the crowds and said, Listen to what I say and try to understand.
Matthew 15:11 You are not defiled by what you eat; you are defiled by what you say and do.
Matthew 15:12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, Do you realize you offended the Pharisees by what you just said?
Matthew 15:13 Jesus replied, Every plant not planted by my heavenly Father will be rooted up,
Matthew 15:14 so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.
Matthew 15:15 Then Peter asked Jesus, Explain what you meant when you said people arent defiled by what they eat.
Matthew 15:16 Dont you understand? Jesus asked him.
Matthew 15:17 Anything you eat passes through the stomach and then goes out of the body.
Matthew 15:18 But evil words come from an evil heart and defile the person who says them.
Matthew 15:19 For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all other sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander.
Matthew 15:20 These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands could never defile you and make you unacceptable to God!
Mark7:1 One day some Pharisees and teachers of religious law arrived from Jerusalem to confront Jesus.
Mark7:2 They noticed that some of Jesus disciples failed to follow the usual Jewish ritual of hand washing before eating.
Mark7:3 (The Jews, especially the Pharisees, do not eat until they have poured water over their cupped hands, as required by their ancient traditions.
Mark7:4 Similarly, they eat nothing bought from the market unless they have immersed their hands in water. This is but one of many traditions they have clung tosuch as their ceremony of washing cups, pitchers, and kettles.)
Mark7:5 So the Pharisees and teachers of religious law asked him, Why dont your disciples follow our age-old customs? For they eat without first performing the hand-washing ceremony.
Mark7:6 Jesus replied, You hypocrites! Isaiah was prophesying about you when he said,
Mark7:7 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far away. Their worship is a farce, for they replace Gods commands with their own man-made teachings.
Mark7:8 or you ignore Gods specific laws and substitute your own traditions.
Mark7:9 Then he said, You reject Gods laws in order to hold on to your own traditions.
Mark7:10 For instance, Moses gave you this law from God: Honor your father and mother, and Anyone who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.
Mark7:11 But you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, sorry, I cant help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I could have given to you.
Mark7:12 You let them disregard their needy parents.
Mark7:13 As such, you break the law of God in order to protect your own tradition. And this is only one example. There are many, many others.
Mark7:14 Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. All of you listen, he said, and try to understand.
Mark7:15 You are not defiled by what you eat; you are defiled by what you say and do!
Mark7:16 Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand. Mark7:17 Then Jesus went into a house to get away from the crowds, and his disciples asked him what he meant by the statement he had made.
Mark7:18 Dont you understand either? he asked. Cant you see that what you eat wont defile you?
Mark7:19 Food doesnt come in contact with your heart, but only passes through the stomach and then comes out again. (By saying this, he showed that every kind of food is acceptable.)
Mark7:20 And then he added, It is the thought-life that defiles you.
Mark7:21 For from within, out of a persons heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder,
Mark7:22 adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, eagerness for lustful pleasure, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness.
Mark7:23 All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you and make you unacceptable to God.
COLOSSIANS 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
I PETER 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers;
The Bible is clear about your "tradition".
Still waiting for a response...
Also you might ponder:
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

I've read 90% of these. I'm satisfied that your selective proof texting is not only meaningless but wrong. When you get through all these get back to me for some further discussion. If you don't read all these, please don't bother getting back to me at all. Thanks.
I read engough of your popaganda to see that it is the mental masturbations of someone who desperately wishes he could have a "discussion" with a Christian who is as completely ignorant of the Holy Bible as he is.
The baloney about the apocrypha completely misses the point that neither Jesus nor the Apostles preached from those false books because they were false dogma written by men and NOT inspired by God.
If you STILL can't tell me where in the Bible Jesus or the Apostles told anyone to pray to your idols and you want to go and pout that is your decision, it just shows how crumbly a foundation your cult is built on.
You call yourself Christian? My "dialogue" with you on this forum is over. Your witness as a so-called "Christian" has been completely eliminated with this abusive language.
I often wondered why a Christian" would use such a screen name as yours. Now I realize you are not a Christian in any manner. Good day. May God have Mercy on you.
You are opting for the typical childish behavior of refusing to address a MAJOR very simple issue by whining about being insulted and running away.

I was reading "The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant" by Stephen R. Donaldson when I started computering about to years ago, it has NOTHING to do with anything else. I've thought about changing it but I haven't because it is so funny to see stupid statements about it like yours.
EXODUS 25:18 And thou shalt make two cherubims [of] gold, [of] beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
EXODUS 25:19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: [even] of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
EXODUS 25:20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth [their] wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces [shall look] one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
EXODUS 25:21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
EXODUS 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which [are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

So the question still stands.:
