BTW, the 50 billion or so spent on military resources in the Gulf would cost that if they were tied up in San Diego. To compare that amount to the foreign aid given Israel is simply a false comparison, as you know. Aid to Israel in direct grants and forgiven "loans" alone now totals $91 billion. Adding the other goodies and interest would double this (as it does your house payment). That's not trivial, even for the US. It's past time to let Israel fight its own wars.

Have you wonderwd why no country has spoken up urging the inclusion of Israel in the coalition? The reason is that Israel does not have a single friend except the US--not one. It used to count South Africa as a friend but that pretty well ended with apartheid.

Just 'cause you wouldn't  mind seeing Israel gone doesn't mean others do. You are a distinct minority. So what if the USA helps Israel? May G_d bless this nation for doing so!

And about that 50 billion we spend to defend Saudi and Kuwait and other Gulf states. We have troops and bases on Saudi soil. Cut that 50 billion in half if you want to, based on your theories. 25 billion is still a heck of a lot of money and sure has Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein pissed that we defend the big oil producers of The Gulf.
