Muslim blames US at Chicago's Largest Church (BARF)
10/06/01 | Dengar01

Posted on 10/06/2001 6:16:58 PM PDT by Dengar01

I just got home from church and I had to post this. I attended Willow Creek church which is north west of Chicago. It is the largest church in the area, it is a non-denominational Christian church, the main auditorium hold 10,000 people and was filled tonight. The topic of the 5:00 service tonight was the interview with a Muslim named Iama Fisal Hammounda, by Senior Pastor Bill Hybels. They will be having three more services between tonight and tomorrow, I pray to God they change their plans for the next services.

I knew this was going to get ugly when the church showed a video on ethnic diversity. I looked around at the church filled to capacity with over 10,000 people and noticed several Muslims.

The inteview started and the man was introduced as a Egyptian who moved here in 1974. He complained that his wife was in Florida and couldn't come home due to the fact that she would be harassed. The goal of Pastor Hybel's interview was to prove that Islam is a peaceful religion, lets just say that he failed, miserabley.

Pastor Hybels did ask some very good questions which surprised me since I thought the Muslim might take the questions as offensive. A few questions statements stood out. The Muslim declared that Islam was peaceful and that the terrorists did not follow Islam, fine I guess. He continued that a "Jihad" had to do with attacking sin he made the poor analogy of declaring a jihad on eating candy.

Continuing Pastor Hybels asked him about martyrs along with the virgins and the streams of wine and the Muslim responded I pray for that to happen. He was truly innappropriate and this is when everything went downhill.

He declared that the terrorists in the US were bad but that the Palestinians were "freedom fighters". Immediately after saying that all the Muslims attending applauded.

After the Muslims were jumping for joy with the Mr. Hammounda's innappropriate remarks, many people got up and walked out disgusted. I stayed to hear his next remarks which stunned me worse than his previous remarks.

He then stated that, "The US is responsible for terrorism"

That is when I walked out.

Fortunately for me to write this my sister and her husband stayed while I was complaining to several people at the Service Desk. The final statement which I was lucky enough to miss finished with Mr. Hammounda saying that Christians and Muslims can be friends, only on Muslims terms.

Yes you heard it the slime being spewed by the left is false. I heard it first hand from this man answering innappropriately while joking about a serious issue. I made the statement that this was unnacceptable for a church and should not be tolerated.

If you agree with me you can FReep the church at:
Willow Creek Community Church
67 E. Algonquin Road
South Barrington, IL 60010
(847) 765-5000
Fax: (847) 765-9222
General e-mail: info@willowcreek.org

Don't worry because the church had many people furious, about 200 people walked out including myself and many people were venting their frustration to people who work at the church. I will be calling the church tomorrow to let them know how I feel.

That is when I walked out.

I hope you took your wallet with you.
Just shake the dust of that place off and move on.

Besides, what do you expect of a church that gave Bill Clinton cover with a self-serving
confessional interview?

If you think what you heard was bad, you should have seen Dateline NBC last night.
They had video/audio from the mosque where that Zacahrias fellow (arrested
in Minn. at flight school) had been radicalized and all I can say is "Those Muslims are coming
for you and me!"

Interestingly, when a film crew tried to get tape of the cleric (mullah?) on the sidewalk
at least one of his congregants immediately covered his face!

Why not go back for a later service...but bring plenty of disposable flash cameras and
a video recorder...and see how many of these jeering Muslims will let you document
their little "luv us, kill the infidels" affair at your church.

And please let's have full disclosure: Isn't that church really just
a Baptist Church without "Baptist" in the name?
(I'm not being controversial, but just making checking information that I had on
the place.)

it is a non-denominational Christian church

What is a non-denominational Christian church?

Does this mean they agree with all the other denominations on doctrine. If this is the case it would be impossible for such a church to exist since each denomination has slightly different interpretations of the scripture. Look for a church that follows the Bible as you understand it, not as someone told you to interpret it.

LOL!
Now you know why the head-to-toe covering may not be such a bad idea!
That bunch could pass for the generic faculty of any women's studies program
at any university in the USA!

Well, it appears that the pastor is not aware that everything changed on September 11.

I have bored everyone with my constant references to a book called The Fourth Turning, but I would ask your indulgence again.

The basic theory of the book is that British and Americian history comes in 4 cycles: A High, A Spiritual Awakening, An Unraveling, and a Crisis. These are the four "turnings" of the historical cycle. The last cycle before this one was The Gilded Age, The period 1900-1920, The Roaring 20's, and the Depression/World War II (Crisis).

This was followed by the post-war period (High), The Cultural Revolution of the 60's (Spiritual Awakening...not necessarily Christian, by the way), followed by a loooong Unraveling period. I believe we are now in the Crisis.

In their book, the authors point out that the hallmark of a true Fourth Turning crisis is a rapid shift in public attitude, from that of personal fulfillment to that of national unity and sacrifice, with an emphasis on survival skills, patriotism, honesty, responsibility, and other traditional values.

Almost everyone has remarked upon the change in attitude in the country. Those who can adapt to the new requiremnets of society will do just fine. Those who are still stuck in the past will be left by the wayside. This pastor will be one who is unable to cope with the new nation created September 11.

The authors have a website for anyone who wants to know more about their book and theory. Here is the link:

That's great. If you know anybody with access to the recording equipment, see if you can get a copy. Lie, say that it was so moving that you want a copy. When the church relizes that this recording could make Islam look bad they might destroy it.

You go to an Apostate church. Bush is an apostate because he does the same things (jumping from mosque to mosque with his shoes off, having them come to the WH and Natl Cathedral to pray, calling them peaceful, implying Allah is Jehova).

Trust me. The goal of EVERY Mohammedan is that the USA adopt Sharia, or, Islamic Law. They CANNOT seperate church and state. It is victory or nothing for them, and they are 100% convinced they are going to win this country for "allah".

They WILL win if we keep on appeasing them.

Here's another bunch of people that need to be deported. How many terrorists are they harboring? We may never know, but we should head them off at the pass and purge them.

I am not a member of the church.

I had no idea how bad and PC this church was until today. I only went about 5 times like I said my niece and nephew loved the Sunday school.

But I will never step foot in there again ever... although they do sell recordings of the event in the bookstore. Why don't you guys check out the site at www.willowcreek.org

If you agree with me you can FReep the church at:

Yes, let's FReep the church because the Muslim interviewee showed himself to be exactly what all the PC folks have said Muslims are not. It sounds as though the outcome of the meeting was exactly the way you would have hoped it to have gone. What's the problem? You should be FReeping the church if you're a liberal disappointed that the myth of Islam being a religion of peace, brotherhood, and tolerance was disproven at that meeting.
