These tributes help us deal with the grief... knowing that we were attacked for who we are.
We are Americans, some not so nice, some kind of ecccentric, some incredibly nice and naive. We are one, especially after these attacks.
Every time I return to these tributes and hear the patriotic songs and see the faces of people who were forever lost to their loved ones by these despicable acts of terrorism, I feel such a sadness come over me. While looking at the faces of people who only exist now in the final resting place that their own lives determined, I see people I could have enjoyed talking to, people who look like my children, people who lived and struggled every day to make this country great by being hard-working Americans.
While talking on the phone the other day with a prospect in NJ, she said she didn't feel as connected when the Oklahoma City bomb killed so many people. She wondered if people in other parts of the country felt the pain that they did in the NY area or if it was a matter of location.
I assured her that we all felt the horror and immense sadness. This was an attack on what we hold dear, our freedom, our openess and willingness to take in all people who are oppressed. We are babes when it comes to worldly intrigue, but we keep on taking the oppressed in and keep on giving, and we were attacked for that.
Thanks, Marak, for the reminder that caring and giving are appreciated by some in this world, and thanks for a reminder that although we give a lot, and suffer alot, we will remain strong.

I will never forget, or forgive.
These unspeakable scum killed my countrymen.

Well said, LBGA! The planes may have been aimed far from many of us, but they struck all of us in our hearts and souls. From one in Florida, I can affirm that your assurance to the prospect in New Jersey was right on target. No matter what part of America we live in, the attack was meant for all of us.

This is the best tribute I have seen. Perhaps it is the music that cresendos behind the images, whatever it is, it is awesome. Features theme song of Alabama University (my arch enemies, lol, WAR EAGLE, but I must give credit where it is due). I have not seen this one listed, so try it gang.
