I have just been informed (and apparently it is on Houston TV) that our FRiend, Herb Meadows, aka "CHIEF negotiator" was the victim of an intentionally set fire. He was murdered, in other words.

I am, of course, well beyond outraged that some low life scumbag would take Herb's life in such a heinous manner, and hereby publicly vow to ensure that his death does not go unavenged. Justice will prevail!

Having said that, I am, fellow FReepers, in a raging "eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth mode!"

Herb will be buried in Houston on Monday, October 8. I will attend his funeral, and I urge all Houston area FReepers who can get away from their normal routine to join me.

I will coordinate with his widow, Belinda, and their children to ensure that the significant details are made known to you.

I was really wondering if it might be something like this. There are not two many thing that will create a "Loud pop" and then not allow a wide awake person to leave the house. It was obviously somekind of explosive device. The only question is who did it? A sick evil liberal or was he on a Clinton type hit list. I hope they catch who ever did this and I hope they hang em high!

Oh, my God! What freeping activities was he involved in? When I first read about this yesterday, I thought about this very scenario. Diver Dave and I have experienced some rather strange happenings since we've been freeping Gary Condit. Good Heavens! Oh, my G-d! I know many of us were biting our tongues, because this was not an appropriate time to give voice to our suspicions (something about this did NOT pass the smell test).
