I owe you no apologies nor will I acknowledge apologies made for me by others.

If you dislike me, you dislike me not for what I am, but for what you are not.

By my own sweat, I have created a lifestyle, which I would desire for all of mankind.

I have shared my wealth with the world and given my blood, not because of obligation, but by my free will.

Although many bit my hand, I have fed the hungry of the world.

I defeated my enemies in battle, then pulled them from the ashes of their defeat.

Once again strong, they again attacked. I turned the other cheek.

Though I am strong, I never used my strength to rule others.

For your sake do not misjudge me, for I will not allow the fear of my own strength to become my weakness.

If you wish to rise, I will give you a helping hand.

But by the grace of God, I'll first be damned before I will let you drag me down so that we may be equal.

I went to my office this morning only to discover I was without phone service. While waiting for the service to be restored I set about to delete some of the many unneeded files that seem to accumulate on the hard drive. If I didn’t recognize the file name, I just deleted the file. For some unexplainable reason I opened a small 3K file named “noapologies.txt” before deleting it. I do not remember ever reading it before, nor do I remember where it might have come from, nor do I know the author. The file contained the date Nov 17, 1998. I felt it was worth sharing.
