Since when?

You forgot to mention how Israel persecutes Palestinian Christians. Arafat's wife is a Catholic Palestinian.

Arafat's wife is a phony vacuous "Christian". A prop for Arafat's propaganda to elicit Christian sympathy. On the other hand, I know very well how Islam has treated Eastern Christians. Nearly destroyed Eastern Christianity. Islam dhimmized Christians for centuries, massacred them, forcefully converted them. The Christian population in East Jerusalem under Islamic Jordanian control was refuced in half between 1948-67. Pan-Arab Islam has been the PERSECUTOR par-excellence of EASTERN CHRISTIANS. Ask a Maronite Christian one of these days what he thinks of the PLO and Arafat.

BTW, you should check out "the good doctor's" profile and then decide whether or not he is a disruptor.

Israel is irrelevant and is in no position to make demands!

Oh really. Sad how many twisted minds think that Israel needs us. They, at least, are not afraid to defend themselves with action that matches their words.

I never believed we should support them in the first place. Apparently, the entire region has not a clue how to maintain peace. They allow hatred to breed within their borders. What kind of "religion" practices hatred? The entire middle east should be new ocean front property for Asia and Africa.

You have a very limited view of the events of 9/11.

You're right, six blocks from the WTC was a very limited view.

While I appreciate (and agree with), many of your points, I stand by my statement and trust the President to do what's in America's interests and via a timetable planned by him and his sober advisors.

I'm patient for revenge.

They have every right to roll in tanks when the Palestinians insist on blowing people up. The tanks don't come first- the Palestinian acts come first. In fact, they should just roll all the way and kill anyone and everyone who doesn't surrender, but they never do, which is why the palestinians still fight. Note that in the US, we don't have roving bands of indians still fighting us after all these year. We don't because the indians had enough sense to realize that endless war would utterly destroy them, and finally threw in the towel. They quit because they were given no mercy. (And in the US the indians had a better case than the palestinians because the indians never tried nor suggested the complete annhilation of the US.)

You might also note that the Israelis have NEVER suggested that killing all arabs and utterly destroying arab states was their goal; nor have they tried... though they have the means to nuke a few.

You need to get your facts straight.

Your response to-"President Bush needs our support, not our division. "

"Then perhaps he should reassess his position. I, for one, will not stand by him while he kowtows to terrorist regimes and diverts our attention from the real enemy by pushing our friends around. Israel has experience with terrorism and we can and should help each other, instead of crossing swords. "

Your dual loyalties are showing..
As told to another "proud Zionist" -money talks , bs walks...
"Have you contributed more or less to the Jewish Defense League, et al, than you have to the American Red Cross?"

On this thread in response to the following statement,

Sharon said that he will not allow Israel to be sold down the river in the name of appeasement

came:

"unacceptable"

"a p*ssing match with the US"

"Somebody should knock Sharon's jaw loose"

"Israel better shut-up and get on board"

"Israel will not dictate how America's war is fought"

"Israel is irrelevant and is in no position to make demands"

The inverse to the above statement would be:

Sharon said that he will allow Israel to be sold down the river in the name of appeasement

If you follow the above, their logical response should be:

Yes

Right on

Go Sharon

Sharon, for he's a jolly good fellow....

Hip Hip Sharon.

FreeRepublic is so much fun on those threads were insanity runs amok.

Chris Matthews said in his column this week that "we need to feel American and think Israeli". I couldn't agree more. Sharon and Israel are true friends to the U.S. and all of us should listen to our friend. IRANSUDANEGYPTPAKISTANSYRIAAFGHANISTANSAUDIARABIAUNITEDARABEMIRATESYEMEN all of these nations have not and will not ever be true friends and allies to the people of the U.S. We should never never turn our backs on Israel....

"Wrong. She converted to Islam immediately after marrying him. "

Well, I stand corrected then. The fact remains that Israel persecutes and discriminates against Arab Christians.

"Miscegenation doesn't play too well in the Arab street, you know."

Neither does it play well among Jews, as far as I know.
