Surely that's not the same boo-boo he got while on his working vacation?I don't think so. Here is a picture of him wearing a bandaid during the so called vacation and it's on a different finger! :-)

The President's speech at the State Department on humanitarian aid to Afghanistan is going to be rerun on C Span at 10:00 Eastern Time.Stink!! I HATE C Span!!
They're showing the House in session, and aren't showing the State Department speech until after that, and who knows when that will be?!!!

Nice hands.
I will never forget Clinton's hands as he pointed his finger at us when he denied having relations with "that woman"!

I thought the same thing about the Labor Department! I think Elaine Chao is so elegant and well-spoken. I think he should put her out in public more often. BTW, have you seen Christie Whitman lately? Not a word - not a peep, I think.
Did you notice at the State Department that the crowd was cheering! - not just applauding. This was a wonderfully warm reception - and his tribute to them was very nice. My husband (the Air Force vet) noticed how Powell was standing respectfully at a distance - so as not to take the spotlight away from GWB. He said 'good manners and good military training - never show up the guy with higher rank'.

CHIEF negotiator dies in east Houston house fire Our Brother has been called to serve again in a Higher command. I read this earlier today and it made me so sad. I had enjoyed the thread last night about his not being able to 're-up'. He sounded like such a 'character'. I'm going to send a card to his wife, just to let her know there are folks far and wide who enjoyed his humor and honored his patriotism.

My brother shook his hand today after the State department speech, so I visited my brother tonight just to shake the hand that shook the hand ---
He said the President was VERY serious today and everyone who was there for the speech was VERY impressed.

Thanks rintense. I hope Dubya has some 'come to Allah' meetings with all those Sheikhs real soon to let them know what he expects of them!

Thanks, rintense! I saw the State Dept speech live and he was wonderfully articulate and emotional.....so very inspirational. My grandkids keep pointing out that "President Bush's wife" said this or that. What a team!!!

Did you notice at the State Department that the crowd was cheering! - not just applaudingOne of my nephews just started working at the State Dept. this summer. We got an e-mail from him on 9/11 just to let us know he was ok, and he was very resolute, and repeated what Colin Powell had said earlier that day, that 'we'll get them!'. I know he must have enjoyed seeing Dubya today!

My first thought was that the upcoming war against terrorism had started but later I realized that these songs had been played because it seemed right, not because someone felt they had to! WOW! Incredible! Great story, gonna share this with a few schools in the area here....

State Department relatives... whoo! Out of curiosity, do they like Powell? Has GWB been able to get any of his people in there, or is it still staffed with Albright loyalists?

My heart goes out to the family & friends of CHIEF Negotiator.
In the words of Ronald Reagan:"Some people live an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. Marines don't have that problem."
God Bless
