I assume that Fr. Brian Jordan is also a Franciscan From the article:
A cast iron "cross" found in the rubble of the World Trade Center has been adopted by rescue workers as a symbol of faith and blessed with holy water by a Franciscan priest.

..thought you'd want to see this....It's wonderful. I saw it this afternoon and was amazed.
Surely a place will be found for it in the new construction.
Thanks, Julie

In the cross of Christ I glory,
Tow'ring o'er the wrecks of time. All the light of sacred story
Gathers round its head sublime.
When the woes of life o'ertake me,
Hopes deceive, and fears annoy,
Never shall the cross forsake me;
Lo, it glows with peace and joy.
When the sun of bliss is beaming
Light and love upon my way,
From the cross the radiance streaming
Adds more luster to the day.
Bane and blessing, pain and pleasure
By the cross are sanctified;
Peace is there that knows no measure,
Joys that through all time abide.

I assume that Fr. Brian Jordan is also a Franciscan No, actually, he's an Atlantan. Although he used to be a Cardinal. :-)

FYI.......thought you'd want to see this.. Thanks for the close up. I was thrilled it got such play on all the local stations here in NY, as it's truly a miracle.

I was channel surfing this morning and came upon Father Jordan and Frank Silecchia, who found the cross on the Early Show on CBS.
Silecchia said that he believed that the message of this cross is that faith will get us through this terrible attack and that good will triumph in the end.

Silecchia said that he believed that the message of this cross is that faith will get us through this terrible attack and that good will triumph in the end.I'm sure he's right.
Faith in God is #1
Faith in our fighting women and men is #2
#1 + #2=VICTORY!
Good morning to you, Julie.
