It would be a terrific collateral victory in this war against terrorism if it exposed increasingly the sheer idiocy of the continuing assumption of the mainstream press that celebrities like this have something to say that is worth listening to.

Some years ago one of the truly accomplished giants of WWII era journalism was asked what he thought of journalism today. "They're all preoccupied with celebrity," he said, "and celebrity is rather thin gruel." The painful truth of this is now becoming evident.

I'm afraid it's much worse than that...
This evening, FOX had that moron Al Sharpton on television - pontificating on subjects for which he should never be asked an opinion. Just WHO the hell is Sharpton? He came to fame - defending a lying black bitch, over false rape charges that resulted in his sorry ass getting sued. Certainly he has NO SINGLE accomplishment that warrants shoving his stupid, racist, opportunistic face into America's living rooms.

Does black America REALLY accept this "man" as their spokesperson? I rather doubt it...
