Asked for comment, National Review Online Editor Jonah Goldberg said: "We didn't feel we wanted to be associated with the comments expressed in those two columns. We got a lot of complaints from sponsors and a lot of complaints from readers left, right and center. We've decided for editorial reasons we think are sound that we're no longer going to run Ann Coulter's syndicated column." Uh-huh. Didn't Trixie's boy call for conquering Africa a few months ago? How is what Coulter said substantially different?

I might suggest to all that National Review has done more for the Coservative cause than Ann Coulter will ever be able to do.

Didn't Trixie's boy call for conquering Africa a few months ago? Yep. What a hypocrite.

I thought Ann's statement was good and gutsy. It had a great kick-ass edge. As I've read Jonah's recent column about the Bill Maher flap, he feels torn. Can't decide whether Maher should be fired or not. Hmmmm, I wonder if he's thinking of replacing Coulter with Maher at National Review.
Who's words do you suppose our troops would rather have as they are marching off to Afghanistan? Coulter's or Maher's?

We don't need more hysteria right now. The Lefties and the neo-Nazis provide sufficient. Good riddance to Coulter.

Okay, let's break it down.
"Invade their countries". Is this not a good idea? Is this not about to happen? So, Ann was not fired for saying the obvious.
"Kill their leaders". Is this not a good idea? Is this not about to happen? Bring me the head of Osama Bin Laden is the real-time movie about to be played out on your television. So, Ann was not fired for saying the obvious.
"Convert them to Christianity". Aha! This is politically incorrect, and this is why Ann was canned.
Now, relish the irony.
National Review is completely owned by Roman Catholic Bill Buckley, jr.
And, like many Roman Catholics, the idea of "converting them to Christianity" means converting Muslims to Protestantism.
Bill Buckley jr. does NOT want "Protestant" converts in the Muslim lands.
Ann touched the holy nerve of American politically correctness.
